If you like nicely renovated old inns, you will really like this. Beautiful gardens around the large property. Rooms are nice sized, our had a great balcony for afternoon coffee and reading breaks (don't think all have balconies). Half a block to town center and park. Review may be a little biased because I had a great 60th birthday here... More

My wife and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary in Blowing Rock, NC the weekend of 24-26 June. We happened to see on Face Book a friend's recommendation of The Inn at Ragged Gardens so we decide to give it a try and are we glad we did! We stayed in the "Tree House" room which was on the 3rd... My DH and I love this Inn. It's beautiful and very private. Good is great and we love happy hour on the porch. Very relaxing and comfortable. We have given gift certificates to friends many times. They are awesome to work with and are flexible when plans have to change. This is our GO TO place for a relaxing mini... More

We enjoyed a beautiful dinner with another couple. Was not crowded. Nice quiet dinner. Service was great. All of our entree's were perfect. No seasoning needed. Trout was great. My wife had they scallops and they were huge and perfectly cooked. Duck in cranberry sauce was also excellent. Couldn't have imagined a more perfect dinner.

My husband and I spent two wonderful nights at this lovely historic Inn. The restaurant is SUPERB. We were so pleased with the food and wine our first night that we ate there our second evening. The full breakfast (included in the price of the room) is delicious and it was a treat to have wine and nibbles in the... More

My car battery died while staying at this cozy Inn. Owner, Mr. Rob Dyer not only gave me a jump, he took my vehicle to a nearby mechanic he knew well, & then drove it up & down the Rd. so that we could be sure that our journey home would be a safe one. What a tender, caring establishment.... More

Fit for kings & queens, this is one of the top places we've ever stayed. Front of the house, back of the house, & everyone in between is nothing but a dream. Don't pass up staying in a heavenly place such as the Inn at Ragged Gardens!

We had a two night stay on our way to drive the blue ridge parkway. We almost cancelled the drive because the inn was so great. We could have stayed many more nights. We're in English Lavender room with a gas fire and super comfortable bed. Ate one night in restaurant and was excellent. Staff were the nicest we have... More

I expected a nice room and it was. They did change the bed from the picture online. I loved using the gas fireplace and our room had a private terrace. Breakfast was included and it was very good. Different selections every day. Always fruit and juice with it. Happy hour for guests every night with appetizers. We had a couple... More

This inn or more like a b & b is a wonderful escape from the rat race. The pace is slower at the Ragged Garden which is a welcome feature. Located in beautiful Blowing Rock, NC, you'll definitely get that mountain feel. The inn is an old home and most of the rooms are part of that. Most rooms are... More
