It's a bit of a streach to call these cabins "riverside." There is a stream / ditch that runs between the cabins and busy highway. Don't expect a scenic, woodsy experience. That said, we had a pleasant stay in modest but adequately furnished facilities. The kitchen was stocked with a few dishes, silverware, etc. The fridge was small, inadequate and... More

Cool summer nights and beautiful in the fall.Motorcycle friendly. Not far from the Blueridge parkway and Boone.Eat at the Mellow Mushroom for the best pizza.Wine tastings at Christopher's a must.Great breakfast across the street.

Excellent place to stay—friendly staff, with charming, comfortable, very clean rooms—within easy walking distance to all of downtown Blowing Rock. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and we look forward to staying at the Mountainaire again.

We have stayed many times at Mountainaire Inn. Deb and her husband always welcome you with great Southern Hospitality. The outside fireplace is great on cool summer nights. She even brings out blankets to ward off the winter colder afternoons around the fire. Its downtown so you can walk to shop or dine out.

Love the place. Walking distance to every store in Blowing Rock. Great advice about places to eat with unbiased list of establishments. Place is off the Main Street, quiet. We had an evening drink on our front porch and morning coffee - totally uninterrupted. All felt like miles away from everywhere.

Staff was very knowledgable of surrounding area for food and other services. Room was very comfortable. Assistance was available for WIFI connectivity. Coffee service was always available. There is nothing more to be said. It was a very nice motel.

We were there for a wedding. The Mountainaire Inn is very convenient to downtown Blowing Rock. It's at one end of the main street with lots of shopping and dining. The units are somewhat small but very well maintained and comfy. The owners, who live on site, are super hosts and very accommodating. There is a fire pit on the... More
