Stayed here for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Black Mountain is a cute little town and the Red Rocker Inn was special. Got this recommendation from the Travel Information, who were most helpful. Owner gave us a discount as we had booked riect with them rather than through TA or any other Agency Very good location... Perfect B&B atmosphere, wonderfully kind staff, delicious food. Arrived for one night in Primrose room. Room was very quiet, tidy, and quaint. Dinner and breakfast were unreal. We will most certainly be returning.

I had an amazing dinner at the Inn last year and decided to bring my mother back to enjoy Black Mountain and the beautiful acoomdations. It was a trip she will always remember. The breakfast offered was different and delicious each day, wonderful hosts and beautiful grounds. Our room was a bit small for two queen beds but very comfortable.

I don't stay at many B &Bs but this place was top of the line for any inn. Service was very good. Room was spacious. Front porch and grounds felt like I was relaxing at home. I liked that our room and most others do not have TVs. We had dinner at their restaurant and breakfast...both very fantastic..not just your... More

Nice dinner and visit with friend. Unrushed and attentive waitress. It was so hard to decide on entree so we had trout and also ordered the spaghetti squash to share between us. The tomato bacon jam atop the trout was a nice addition and I could eat the pistachio whipped goat cheese which topped the spaghetti squash on anything. My... More

Our room, Three Mountaineers, was on the second floor. It was cozy and comfortably appointed. The friendly staff is efficient and service-oriented, and they made our stay extraordinarily comfortable. You need a table outside under the trees? Got it! If you're vegetarian, many good choices await you. You want a poached egg for breakfast? How do you like it, medium... More

The Red Rocker is an immaculate, comfortable and friendly place. We celebrated a family reunion there this week with 25+ family members and had a great time. Doug and Jenny were caring and accommodating of our groups' needs. The food was excellent, especially the desserts.

The Elizabeth Attic is the best room in the place. Most spacious with a personal fireplace up on 3rd floor so nice and private. The breakfast buffet was amazing with the best foods ever. The chef was perfect. It was great that they served dinner which again was a great meal. They have a full sized refrigerator/freezer for guests on... More

We viewed Red Rocker Inn on Our State program on pbs. We were thrilled to make reservations, enjoyed sitting on front porch rocking in the red chairs. Very clean, beds were good, our dinner was perfect , and breakfast buffet was excellent , and of course the cookies at noon were too good and coffee, . This is a family... More

Very good food (roasted chicken is great); friendly, helpful staff; a ROCKIN dessert menu (8 regular items and one dessert of the month, which benefits local charities); and a fair price. Just what you'd expect from a place like this. Better make reservations--it's a busy place!
