Our recent stay was awesome! Doug and Jenny and the entire staff made us feel like family. Our room was spectacular (Elisabeth’s Attic), of course they showed us several rooms and let us pick(since it was off season they had several rooms available). As for the dining, it was

We heard about this Bed and Breakfast after we had already eaten but wanted to viait before we left to go home. Several locals had recommended visiting when we come back. This is a gorgeous and upscale Inn with beautiful bedroom suites. The dining room opens at 5 for dinner.

Our 4th trip to Black Mtn. and we totally enjoyed this B&B. Owners and staff could not make us feel more comfortable and at home. Breakfast was awesome with a different egg casserole each morning with an array of side dishes and pastries. They also have a restaurant within

The Wait Staff were clearly overwhelmed and were running around in a sense of unease. They were doing the best that they could but I had a feeling something had gone wrong. Either they were short staffed or something else. I ordered roast chicken with a crispy skin, but it was

Hi! Welcome to Black Mountain! Even though this is the "off season" there are several things to do here. Perusing the interesting shops in Black Mountain is a favorite tourist activity. The town is charming and quaint and packed with character.Several pubs have evening live music and there is a great music venue just a couple blocks from Red Rocker Inn that has nightly concerts - usually $15 admission. Its called the White Horse if you want to look it up. There are also galleries if you love art and a museum and two college campuses outside of town that offer cultural and natural attraction. Do you like to hike? You're in hiking heaven here. If you are a food lover, there is the Creative Mountain Food Tour that is starting seasonal tours in Feb. Hope this info helps. Thanks for asking, and we're looking forward to seeing you!

I like to let previous guests answer questions, but seems like no one is jumping in on this one. Most people comment on the enticing smell of bacon and coffee in the mornings that drifts up the stairs. Actually, I think the aroma is most noticeable on the third floor. But as for rooms just above the kitchen, try the Old North and the Dogwood- the bathroom of which is above the kitchen. Wifi is good throughout the house. We have a new router and several boosters throughout. Thanks for the great questions, hope to see you soon!

No TV in any room, only livingroom area! If I were to complain about anything it would be no TV, but it's such a wonderful Inn that we just deal with it and watch movies on our ipad.
