The Elizabeth Attic is the best room in the place. Most spacious with a personal fireplace up on 3rd floor so nice and private. The breakfast buffet was amazing with the best foods ever. The chef was perfect. It was great that they served dinner which again was a great meal. They have a full sized refrigerator/freezer for guests on... More

We viewed Red Rocker Inn on Our State program on pbs. We were thrilled to make reservations, enjoyed sitting on front porch rocking in the red chairs. Very clean, beds were good, our dinner was perfect , and breakfast buffet was excellent , and of course the cookies at noon were too good and coffee, . This is a family... More

Very good food (roasted chicken is great); friendly, helpful staff; a ROCKIN dessert menu (8 regular items and one dessert of the month, which benefits local charities); and a fair price. Just what you'd expect from a place like this. Better make reservations--it's a busy place!

Inn is kept in excellent condition. It is very clean and feels like you are in a private home, your own. Rooms are comfortable, meals are delicious and owners/staff are very friendly and helpful. Only wish would be for a fuller pillow.

The Red Rocker Inn is a great place to relax, enjoy wonderful food and explore the Black Mountain/Asheville area. The owners and staff are the perfect hosts. Try Elizabeth's Attic room. It is a little more expensive than their other rooms but well worth the difference. (Huge garden tub: very large walk in shower and the large room is more... More

Looking for something other than a chain hotel, I stopped at the Red Rocker Inn when I was on my way to help my son move. It proved to be the perfect break in an otherwise fairly rugged week! After a long day on the road, I found my room to be charming, comfortable, and very clean. Doug, Jenny and... More

The Bowman family are very gracious hosts. The B&B is charming, historic, elegant, homey and beautifully restored. Each room has its own charm. The guest rooms are filled with antiques and interesting memorabilia...hat boxes, painted chests, prints and photos. The over sized towels were truly luxurious. The other guests were friendly and interesting. And, the sitting rooms are cozy and... More

Just got home from a visit to Red Rocker Inn. It was my boyfriend and I's first trip to Black Mountain and Fell in Love with this perfect and beautiful little town. We wish we could say the same about Red Rocker Inn. It has some really wonderful things like breakfast and the afternoon homemade cookies. The lady that worked... More

This beautiful restaurant set in the heart of downtown Black Mountain could brag on its charming ambiance and delightful, delicious reasonably-priced fare. The food had great variety including those for vegetarian and gluten-free dinners. The desserts were over the top, especially my buckle berry pie with 5 different fruits. Add this to your options for dinner!! Oh, and yes, we... More

Wonderful in every way. We arrived without a reservation and were graciously welcomed. We stayed on the 3rd floor in Elizabeth's attic room. It was beautiful! A large double person soaking tub, the largest shower you can imagine with a large rain shower head. Very comfortable king size bed. There was even a gas fireplace. The owner was very nice... More
