We've rented numerous private homes, so have a good base from which to compare. We would stay here again; however, I'm not raving about the Villa as other guests have done. Pros: Availability of 1-night stay; Comfortable bed and home; Easy check-in/out Cons: Overpriced for a 2-bedroom home with space for four guests; Location is very odd--gravel road under power lines through an overgrown field, within earshot of a train; Kitchen needs a few items (cutting board, matching plates); Website descriptions a bit vague The information ahead of arrival, and on the website, could have been a bit more clear. I suggest the website be updated to clarify that the rental price is for the entire home (use of the phrase "common areas" caused me to wonder if other guests were there, sharing that space). I also would suggest letting guests know, with their confirmation, that they will be given an entry code the day of arrival, and that the final balance is automatically charged to the credit card. I was unsure of how this process would work, since the website mentioned "check in" times and the need to call if arriving after 6pm. Finally, providing guests with a sheet on site, clearly indicating what is expected at departure, would be helpful. I knew I had to empty the garbage, but we had to go searching for it outside, and found it way in the backyard at the edge of the property line. There was old coffee left in the coffee pot and dirty dishes left in the dishwasher from a previous guest. Melanie was gracious and thanked me for letting her know, but for $260/night, I've never run into that kind of oversight. (This is why I gave a "3" rating for cleanliness; otherwise I'd rate it a "4-5".) The Villa served our purposes well. We needed a comfortable place to sleep for one night, visit with an old friend, and cook. …
