The listing on "booking" did not indicate that it was off-season and the on-site restaurants and bar were closed. After an 8 hour trip to this property, we had to travel back down the mountain into Banner Elk to have dinner. Although the listing indicated that breakfast was included it should mention that it is only coffee, Danish and/or cereal....

If you want a snug , cozy authentic inn this is it. We stayed three days and booked it for a rehearsal dinner for our sons upcoming wedding in July and for our out of town guests. Steve , the owner , was invaluable in helping us with area and wedding planning. Excellent restaurant , bar , clean spacious rooms...

This is a nice and clean hotel, with large rooms and comfortable beds. There is free scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage and biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Pastries and OJ too. They have a full bar and pretty good restaurant for dinner too. I would recommend it.

My friend and I booked a room at this hotel for 80's weekend on Beech Mountain. We found the hotel to be very clean, quaint and have friendly and helpful employees. Fred checked us in and could not have been nicer to us, even upgrading us to a bigger room that faced the ski slopes. He was very friendly and...

Every time we go to Ski at Beech Mountain (the last 10 yrs.) we stay here. We've been so happy with the service and cleanliness. We are always taken care of and are made to feel at home. You really should try the restaurant. The food is excellent! Steve, the manager/owner?, is such an upstanding guy. There is a shuttle...

I would recommend for an overnight stay for snow skiing. The onsite restaurant was pretty good as well. A little older but had a quaint feel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Onsite parking and shuttle to Beech Mountain skiing was a plus as well.

My daughter and I have just returned from a weekend getaway at the Beech Alpen Inn. The Inn is so quaint and the people are great. Steve the manager was so accommodating. Our room had a cozy fireplace in it, with our own personal porch. Friday night we had drinks at the bar and met some locals, as well as,...

First time staying here, but hopefully it will not be the last! My room was exceptionally clean and very large with a great view of the mountain ranges. There was outside seating for dinner and the deer decided to appear on the lawn about the time I was seated so what better entertainment could one ask for? The food was...

For the past 10 years I have stayed at a great B&B turnpike house because I hate hotels and it is vey quiet at B&B's. My wife and I had a great stay here. Large room, old but clean which I prefer. I found it charming. Bed and comforter was great. Really slept well with no noise from neighbors. Great...
