Property's Favorite Review
This was our second stay at the Pecan Tree, last staying in June 2018. Once again we had a wonderful time. We arrived early in the afternoon, about two hours before checkin time, but hoped we could at least drop the car off since parking near the waterfront was pretty scarce. Stan the owner greeted us, and not only was it ok to park, but he got us checked in early. They are doing a good job with social distancing, staggering breakfast times and using indoor and outdoor seating. Enhanced cleaning seems evident and hand sanitizer is available at all times and they even had nice little pouches made up with mask and sanitizer wipes for people who needed them. We thought this was a really nice touch. We had the same room as our last stay, the Queen Anne Spa Suite, but it has been completely renovated since then. Decor is light and airy, with both a colonial and beach feel. The bathroom is completely redone with a large soaking tub (great for the end of a busy day!) and a huge open shower area. If we had a single criticism of the entire stay it would be the water pressure in the shower. It's not that it's all that bad, just not enough to really do justice to the great shower. In my experience this is a common issue at older B&Bs in this area, so I don't think it's the Inn's fault, but the shower would be perfect with a little more water pressure. Our room had a great rocking chair porch area that was perfect for a glass of wine in the evening, and it overlooked the beautifully landscaped back yard that also has pretty ample comfortable seating and a koi pond. Breakfast was delicious, though we only ate one of our two days there since we had an early special lunch planned before needing to hit the road. The one day that we did eat we had a sausage frittata and home fries that were perfect. Overall an incredibly relaxing few days staying at the Pecan Tree. With COVID impeding some of our bigger travel plans this year we are planning another trip to Beaufort in the Fall and will definitely be booking Pecan Tree for this trip.

Dear Guest, Thank you for the wonderful review! It is difficult with the ever changing state regulations when it comes to the virus we are trying to cover all the basic needs to keep everyone safe i'm so glad to hear we are meeting the expectations of our guests. And yes the Queen Anne Suite has be transformed into a cozy beach cottage look with a spa rain shower bathroom. We are looking forward to your stay this fall! Stay safe. Warmest regards, Christine and Stan

My wife and I were able to break away from our four kids for a few days to celebrate her 40th birthday. We loved the atmosphere of the Pecan Tree and our accommodations were amazing! The room provided a relaxing atmosphere for reading books, conversation, and a nice soak in the tub. Top all that off with the very accommodating and servant hearted owners, and it was the perfect recipe for an amazing experience. This was our first trip to Beaufort and our first stay at the Pecan Tree Inn, and will hopefully not be our last!!

We really enjoyed our three day stay. The breakfasts couldn't have been better. The hosts gave us great restaurant hints. Be sure to try the pecan cookies. We also found a little time to rock on the front porch and walked through the garden.
