The Inn on Turner is my go-to place for a little solo get away! The location is perfect for Beaufort as you can walk right downtown on the beautiful, quaint streets and sidewalks.
It's very peaceful especially off season and a great place to recharge your batteries! The Inn is so pretty with all the coastal decor, art and little touches! Kim, one of the Inn Keepers may greet you at the door with a nice smile and wonderful conversation. Right off the foyer you have a beautiful sitting room area where you can relax or even take in the 5:00 wine tasting if you like. I've stayed before in the downstairs suite with my husband several years ago, but this visit I was in the upstairs king suite and honestly it was so clean and really beautiful. Nice bathroom with some great products like shampoo, body lotion and hand soap. You have a stand-up shower, as well as some good towels and a blow drier if needed. The room contains a small chair, robes, suitcase rack, dresser, side tables, iron bed, wood blinds, ceiling fan and the floor is hardwood. The Inn is eco-friendly so they do not offer water bottles but there is a carafe of filtered water and two glasses. The mattress is comfortable with nice bedding and soft sheets. In the morning at 9:00 you are invited to share breakfast and I did not partake this visit but my last visit me and my husband enjoyed it very much. They made gluten free blueberry pancakes for me and they really were delish! I did forget to mention upstairs is another sitting area with a TV as the rooms do not offer televisions. This didn't bother me and like I said you have an area to sit quietly or use the TV right off the room if desired. I highly recommend the Inn on Turner in Beaufort and I will for sure be back!

This petite, boutique Inn is the perfect place to stay. Start your day with a beautifully crafted, locally sourced breakfast, served with love and care. (For our week’s stay, no two were alike.) If you come to relax, you are covered! Sit on the porch with a good book and enjoy the gentle breeze and occasional happy group of people walking towards the water front downtown. Want to have fun? Kim and Jon are a wealth of information about their area. Beach, boat, fishing, Beaufort is just minutes away from almost anything water related that you might want to do. Our immaculate and well appointed room was a soft haven that was difficult to leave but the happy hour urges you out to join others on the porch or garden patio. Love history? Explore a town and area full of history. Beaufort has a long history that has been faithfully preserved and embraced. The Inn on Turner is just what a body needs to restore and rejuvenate. Kim and Jon will help you have a most pleasant experience. Their level of concern for your comfort and care is unmatched. I have not had a better experience anywhere.

The Inn on Turner has been the most wonderful bed & breakfast I've ever stayed in. The amazing inn keepers have thought of literally everything to make it better than home away from home. The inn is nestled right in the heart of Beaufort, and is walking distance to the water. It is clean, well cared for, and holds a truly peaceful quality that is simply ideal for relaxing. After a full day at the beach, we were able to come back to our rooms, take showers in our private bathrooms, and go to bed on incredibly comfortable mattresses and pillows. The inn keepers did not crowd or bother us at all, but left ample ways to contact them should we need anything. We noticed the locally made special touches, such as soaps, candles, and lotion. We will most definitely stay again. Kim and Jon are wonderful hosts and I'm grateful they share this little slice of Heaven with us.

We stayed at the IOT for a very special Anniversary trip and could not have been more pleased. From the second we arrived until the second (a sad second) we left, Kim and Jon took exceptional care of us.

The Inn is perfectly decorated and there is not an item overlooked from the interior of the Inn that is decorated with beautiful blue and sea glass colors, to the guests' bedrooms that included fluffy towels, a make up towel, water carafe with adorable glasses, a comfortable bed with an assortment of pillows, and again refreshing coastal colors that made me feel instantly relaxed.

The southern hospitality does not stop there because in addition to the beautiful design, the hosts also provide breakfast and happy hour.

During breakfast the table is impeccably set and you are served a scrumptious breakfast of savory one day and sweet the next day. Kim and Jon take great care to purchase all items for the Inn locally to help support local businesses. After enjoying your meal, Kim provides well thought out recommendations for each guest based on their individual preferences.

It is obvious Kim and Jon take great care and pride in their Inn and have devoted countless hours to making it beautiful for each guest. Only, it does not stop there, they also provide detailed recommendations of what Beaufort, has to offer with tailored details for each guest.

Our Anniversary trip was perfect thanks to the care and thoughtfulness that Kim and Jon provided us at the IOT.

If you are looking for a place to stay in the Beaufort, NC area please consider the Inn on Turner. You will not be sorry !

So grateful for our first trip away as a family in two years at Inn On Turner in Beaufort, NC. Appreciate their wellness B&B and all their accommodations for my allergies.

They have both a whole house water filter and an air filter for those with seasonal or other environmental allergies. Altered their breakfast options for all of our diets, as well as their happy hour drink options.

Beautiful beach and ocean theme with natural materials. Environmental focus! Comfy furniture! 2 blocks from the water! Attentive hosts! So many nice touches like handmade natural local soaps.

So much to do nearby. We need to make this our regular vacation spot. Can’t recommend enough.

What an outstanding experience we had at the Inn on Turner! The historic house is beautifully restored and decorated. I loved the art. Our room was very attractive and furnished with the softest sheets, tasteful decor and locally made soap, lotion body wash, etc. The hosts, Kim and Jon were most welcoming. They provided us with delicious breakfasts with locally sourced and creatively prepared food. Kim was a wealth of information regarding things to do and restaurant suggestions. She even made reservations for us. The inn is located close to all the action, so there was no need to use our car. We walked everywhere. Happy hour on the porch or in the garden was an added enjoyment. The Inn on Turner is top notch, and provides a warm home away from home from which you can enjoy all Beaufort has to offer.

We arrived later than expected thurs evening but the entry to the inn and our room was so easy and seamless. The Inn was elegantly decorated for the Holidays and our room was spotless. Sheets/towels and all the extras were in place and so appreciated. We knew at this point the weekend was going to be special. Honestly, special is an understatement.

Kim and Jon (innkeepers) left no stone unturned. Each day we were given the most incredible breakfast and the introduction to the meal and the days activities by Kim became something I looked forward to more than the meal itself. She is a fantastic host. Throughout the day we ebbed and flowed throughout the town and the inn is so convenient to everything, we walked everywhere. Location, location, location.

Each day a happy hour capped the day's activities and sent you out to dinner in such good spirits. Incredible little snacks and beverages were placed in the lobby for each of the guests.

During our stay we thoroughly enjoyed our interaction with the other guests and were made to feel so welcomed by Kim and Jon. We even had the pleasure to meet some friends of Kim's who in conversation went so far as to say "Oh, Kim, she is the Queen of Hospitality!". We laughed at the moment and continued our interaction. But upon leaving that Sunday my wife and I concluded and agreed that Kim's friend was not kidding. She was spot on with her comment about Kim.

The best encounter and stay I have ever had at a B and B. I would go back there in a heartbeat. Truly the best weekend celebrating my wife's birthday. Left feeling like we just added not only to our memories but our friend list as well. Cheers to Kim and Jon and all the guests that shared this weekend with us. Everyone was fantastic. 12/12-12/15/24.

Beaufort is a wonderfully picturesque town located at the end of the Outer Banks of NC. It has a strong sense of its history back to the 1700s with ferries to nearby islands in the Sound, great eateries and boutiques, and friendly, welcoming shopkeepers and restaurant staff. The best part was staying in the Inn on Turner, a beautifully furnished B & B with very comfortable bedrooms and gourmet breakfasts. The Inn is located within walking distance of of any site you want to visit in Beaufort, and it features the most thoughtful, caring hosts we've met in our travels. They love the Carolina Coast and are enthusiastic about sharing all the attractions available to their guests and to ensure the time spent with them is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

I’ve stayed at Inn on Turner twice and enjoyed it immensely both trips. Beaufort is of course a pleasant little harbor town with lots of history, architecture, shopping, restaurants, day-tripping, beaches, and of course it’s wonderful boardwalk and marina.

The Inn is a very short walk to the center of village activity and the hosts go to great lengths to keep guests up to the moment with information about what to do, when and where. They go out of their way to make reservations for you and to explain local amenities and attractions.

But the really good thing about Inn on Turner is the quality of the stay. The rooms are well appointed and comfy, if on the small side. The inn is a makeover of one of Beaufort’s old houses, so expect small rooms with tight closet space and bathrooms. The queen beds take up a big chunk of each room. That said, the owners have gone overboard compensating with comfort in mind. All the linens and bedding are top notch, as are the fixtures and what little additional furniture can be fitted into each room. This place is not furnished with the owners’ in-laws castaway chairs and bureaus. The owners have invested!

Most b&b’s that I have stayed in are operated like a private home, something always puts me off. The Inn on Turner is run like a resort hotel, sans a few of the expected hotel amenities (room service, daily room cleaning). So you get a very comfy stay along with a sense of privacy and professionalism that isn’t usual at the traditional b&b.

As a b&b, the Inn on Turner offers breakfast to its guests, around the usual dining room table. Beware, they are strict about showing up on time. Miss the 9 am breakfast window and you’ll be having your late breakfast down at the Cru coffee shop. Kim hosts and John cooks. (Just the two of them, which is why they are sticklers about timeliness.) The menu is very good, and efficiently served with Kim presiding but not interfering (as many b&b hosts do). She explains the menu, what’s going on around town that day, and offers to make dinner reservations for the evening while you’re out boating or sunbathing or watching the wild ponies or whatever.

The only drawback is traffic. The Inn on Turner is really ON Turner Street, the main drag into town. And though Turner street is small, locals like to rumble by in their supersized pickup trucks fairly regularly. So ask for one of the rooms at the back of the house away from the street. On the other hand, if you don’t mind the occasional rumbler, you can sit out on the porch (one up, one down), or in the charming and shady little garden to the side. I did both, and played my ukelele. Passers by loved it. (Folks are nice in Beaufort - that beach vibe, you know.)

If you’re going to Beaufort, try the Inn on Turner. A friendly place in a friendly town where they give you space and great accommodations.

Yay! Thank you for this delightful and detailed review helping guests to ensure our brand of hospitality is a good fit for their travel style <3. It's been such a treat creating a hybrid style of lodging that combines various elements of hotel, resort, B&B and Innkeeping. We are so flattered that you enjoyed it enough to return with friends We definitely embrace the  "slow travel and wellness travel" philosophy.  Jon and I are tickled you enjoyed lots of leisurely afternoons in room and on the porches, we do have daytime traffic from cars and pedestrians but town and Turner Street quiet down nicely for a good nights sleep after dark. **but we will get you "back of the house" next trip for sure. :).  Yup, a leisurely morning breakfast at 9am gets everyone to the table for delightful conversation and sharing of adventures; allowing us to serve a truly FARM FRESH breakfast which just isn't an option with  buffet style or 3 hour serving windows.  Fresh IS Best and as you noted guests taste the difference :). Speaking of best, the very best review we can ever receive is when folks return ...and we thank you!  Looking forward to your next visit with ukulele in hand ...see you soon

We went with my sister and her husband, and the visit to IOT was fabulous! Kim and Jon had the inn decorated beautifully! Kim is an excellent cook/baker and the food was delicious. Coffee is available at 8, breakfast is served at 9 in an elegantly appointed dining room. And then happy hour is laid out in one of the front rooms from 5 to 6 with different drinks and appetizers served daily. Everything is homemade! It's an amazing experience. Kim always has excellent suggestions as to where to go and what what to do every day. We had a fantastic time!
