The house, although newer built, looks like a period house. Decor and colors invoke peace. Rooms are individually temperature controlled with en suite bathrooms. Love all the book nooks! I had a breakfast tray to my room every morning and everyday was a home-cooked meal with chef appeal. You can sit on the proch, read books in the great toom, watch TV or enjoy the calming ocean breezes and learn more about Colonial American history.
We had a wonderful time here! It’s the off-season, and the weather was very cold and windy, but we still enjoyed our stay in Bath, and this place was one of the highlights! There are a few different common rooms, and the bedrooms are comfortable! It is within walking distance of all the historic buildings, which we took advantage of.
From the moment you are personally greeted at the front door till the moment you will walk off the front porch, at your departure, the owner's make your experience one you can't forget. The walkway leads you to an inviting front porch that just sit, stay awhile and just forget the world for awhile. Inside is immaculate in every way, it was so comfortable and clean you feel as if you are at home. The owner was full of great advice from where to eat, to information on the area. Her breakfast was just amazing! I have a gluten allergy and was amazed not only how she gave such a personal touch to breakfast that was delicious and healthy for me. If you are ever in the area you must stay the night and don't skip breakfast!
We stayed twice in June 2019. Fantastic B&B. Immaculately clean and beautifully decorated reflecting the history of Bath, the oldest city in North Carolina. Marie, our charming Irish hostess, served great breakfasts and pointed out interesting sites to visit.
We stayed one night at this bed and breakfast and it was great! The owner welcomed us in and gave us ideas of places to go visit and also places to eat. Take note, most restaurants aren’t open in Bath or Belhaven on Monday’s. There wasn’t much of an option but the one suggestion she gave was great. We stayed in the king room, which is located at the very top of the house. The room and whole house was absolutely spotless. Not a speck of dirt/dust/bugs anywhere. The house smelled fresh/airy/clean and was absolutely beautiful. The owner made my husband and I a wonderful breakfast in the morning. We had homemade breads (her Irish soda bread is amazing), fruit parfaits, and an egg, ham, and veggie (fresh from her garden) omelet served in a cast iron pan. The owner made our first experience at a bed and breakfast a great one. We hope to go back and stay again, just this time, not on a Monday!…
