We spend an extended weekend and had a wonderful experience. The villa is set in a beautiful location away from traffic. Staff and management are very friendly, service oriented and responsive. The freshly prepared, home cooked breakfast were delicious. We took full advantage of the patio in front of our suite, overlooking the winery, and sipping a nice glass of the local wine. The suite was huge. Nicely accented with a cozy gas fireplace and a humongous king-size bed. Very enjoyable and relaxing weekend.

Although the view was beautiful and the setting peaceful, we had several concerns throughout our stay. The check in process was odd, given the villa was open, a note was left and key in door of our room (we figured this out after a phone call). We proceeded to turn on the tv which had issues (another phone call). The housekeeping came and gave us towels at the door and came in and made the bed, and did not remove the trash, nor replenish any toiletries during our three day stay. Breakfast was fine, but sad to say housekeeping and kitchen gals were not wearing masks. We were talking to several other guests about the air conditioning and one of them called the “number” and were told to open the windows when the web site clearly states air conditioning. The last 24+ hours there was no internet on the property (another phone call) and no internet still! The welcome paper stated one wine flight complimentary during your stay, and when we went to get it, they said one complimentary wine flight per day! An on-site person is definitely needed at this venue.

We were on our way to Linville Falls and saw the sign for the Banner Elk Winery and Villa. Several comfortable private outdoor sitting areas. We were allowed to bring our nibbles will setting outdoors enjoying the day. They offer flights, glasses or by the bottle.

Visited today for the first time. My wife and I both tried a wine flight (4 selections each) and enjoyed our sampling on the front porch of the winery. Nice relaxing way to spend an hour or so. Would recommend.

Enjoyed Banner Elk Winery today. The outdoor seating is serene and beautiful landscape around a pond. Picnic tables are set up and beside a stream. The building is a plain exterior, but very nice inside. The wine selection is good with a large variety. I hear the Sangria is a hit, but we chose the Petite Sirah and it was pretty good. This is a really great place to hang out.
