We were delighted by our two night stay at the Villa this past week! It was a pleasant surprise when we arrived to find we had been upgraded to a lovely king suite with a gas fireplace. The fact the temperatures outside were hovering in the low to mid 50s made this almost a necessity. The room was comfortable and breakfast was not the continental that was mentioned when we booked but a plated hot breakfast made as we enjoyed our coffees. A thoroughly enjoyable getaway despite the rain!

We were in dire need to have a change of scenery after being stuck indoors for over 2 1/2 months and having had to cancel two trips through July. We liked the idea that it was on a winery but there were so many other positives. The location was an easy & close trip into town where there are some very fine restaurants. We were able to see a lot of sights during our very short (2 night) stay, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain and Blowing Rock, all within reasonable distances. Our room was spacious, clean and had a great view of the mountains. Since there are only eight rooms, we felt very comfortable not being in a crowded place. Everyone at both the villa & winery were so warm and welcoming. Terry & Kelly greeted us but we really want to thank Freida for two of the most delicious and plentiful breakfasts. Looking forward to a return visit in the Fall.

We enjoyed our afternoon on the property having a picnic and taking in the gorgeous scenery. The Villa itself was luxurious! This was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in which included top notch mattress, sheets, pillows and comforter. The bathroom was stocked with soft and fluffy towels and toiletries. We stayed in the Zinfandel Suite which was perfect because my husband had a Stroke 2 years ago. This Suite was very accommodating for his mobility. A delectable bottle of Blueberry wine from the Winery was in our room upon our arrival in honor of our 33rd year anniversary. A classy touch that made us feel special. In the morning we sat on the terrace and were blessed with a lovely view of the mountains while eating a delightful home cooked breakfast. The staff was super friendly and suggested we visit the nearby beautiful Waterfalls. Thank you for making our trip to the mountains so amazing and memorable! John & Gail Core
