Anyone who uses the Koa website for whiteface Mountain/ New York be careful while booking! I booked a trailer site online for the Columbus day weekend. The picture showed a travel trailer, so I reserved it. I noticed a few days later that my confirmation showed "electric only" which didn't make sense since I have a travel trailer. I wanted... More

The park was very large and the night we stayed it wasn't a 1/4 full. We asked for a late checkout fully prepared to pay and the answer was NO just no, not would you be willing to move or pay or anything....just no. We couldn't believe it so my husband went back and asked again. Same answer! We were... More

The campsite was a little small, but combined with a great camp office, heated pool, jungle gyms for the kids, trails to hike, great location to the near by attractions. We would go back in a heartbeat, longer next time!

What a wonderful campground. There are all types of camping available from tent sites to RV sites to cabins with full bath and all linen supplied. Stayed in a pretty new 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin which was close enough to hear the river running. Campground borders on the AuSable river which is wonderful for hiking and swimming. Granddaughters loved... More

We stayed at this KOA for a long weekend in our motorhome. We stayed in one of the pull through sites with full hook ups and 50Amp service. Our site was spacious and the setting was lovely. We were impressed with the spacing of all the sites. Tent campers would be very happy here as well with large, well-spaced sites... More

Brought my daughter camping for the first time (4yr old) and KOA was beyond amazing. The tent sites are all awesome and have some privacy. There is a sand pad on most of them. Each site has a fire ring (no grill so be prepared) and whatever you need the store has! There is a creek trail in the back... More

This KOA is one of the nicest we've stayed at. Fairly large sites, clean restrooms, plenty of activities for the children. I had only 1 complaint. Site I08 is considered a "pull thru" site but I would not recommend it. They need to fix the exit from the site as there are tree roots, pot holes too big for a... More

We have traveled and camped from the East Coast to the West Coast. We found that KOA campgrounds are reasonably priced, clean, and have all of the necessary amenities that make camping a good experience. We recently camped at the Lake Placid KOA and it met all of our needs and much more. The entire campground was very clean, laundry... More
