We thoroughly enjoyed our recent weeklong stay in the Chalet. 4 Adults and a dog and we had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable relaxing stay. Fully furnished and cute kitchen, dining table that can seat 4-10 so we adjusted it small for card playing nights. Sweet little wood burning fireplace and the deck across the front with table, chairs and a grill made it complete.
My family spent an extended weekend at the Chalet and it was much better then we could have imagined. There are three large sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area and den with a nice fireplace. We also enjoyed barbecuing on the deck and watching many movies in the evening. Everyone enjoyed having their own bedroom and our dog loved running around the many acres. The Chalet is minutes away from Gore and make it easy enough to come back for lunch if you feel you want to take a little break. Amy and Mark are great hosts and go out of their way to make your vacation extra special.
My husband I stayed at this B&B over the long weekend snowboarding trip. It was exactly what we were looking for in B&B. Mark and Amy have created a cozy, comfortable atmosphere for their guests. It didn't feel like something really frilly, which can be nice, but it was not what we were looking for. This place had a cabin in the woods type of feel versus something more Victorian. Mark and Amy were friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfast was amazing-Mark made us delicious omelets, pancakes, home fries and French Toast. Also, the breakfast was so big and filling, that we could stay on the slopes past the regular lunch time. When we got home from snowboarding, Amy had homemade brownies and snacks ready-what a great way to end the day! She gave us great restaurant recommendations of what to expect, type of cuisine and not to mention easy to follow directions. Our room was clean and the bathroom had good shower pressure-which may sound strange to note, but it's nice to know you can take a hot shower at the end of a long day on the slopes. Oh, and we even took Mark and Amy up on their offer to use the communal living room to watch a movie. They started a fire for us, and Amy got me a blanket-it's the little things like that make this place wonderful. I would highly recommend this B&B, which by the way is less than 10 min away from Gore Mountain.…
My brother and I stayed here for three nights while we skied at Gore Mountain. It was a convenient location, with great amenities, and hosts that treat you like family. The breakfast was amazing, something different every morning, large enough to feed a small army. Trust me, you won't go hungry. Hosts Amy and Mark are extremely friendly, looking to make your stay special, whatever that may be for you. The after ski snack was also nice to come back to at the end of the day! This was our second year staying with them, and we plan to go back again next year. Can't be beat!
Stayed at On the Way B&B during a ski trip to Gore Mountain with my family on 2nd and 3rd Jan 2014. The owners, Amy and Mark, were very welcoming and friendly. The B&B is clean, cozy and breakfast on both days was delicious. Little touches such as snacks and a fire after returning from a day of skiing were nice touches. I highly recommend On the Way B&B to anyone looking for lodging in Wevertown.
