We arrived in a Tuesday afternoon and was welcomed by the owner, Russ. He provided us with a tour of his and Lori’s home. We stayed in the Tupper suite and was pleasantly surprised of the room, it’s view, the quality of bedding, towels and robes. The house had other guests, however it was many times as if we were the only couple there.
The grounds were well tended, many quaint, private areas to sit with a fire, lay in a hammock, swing or rock in chairs that had views of Lake Erie, Barcelona Harbor, Barcelona Lighthouse or adjacent vineyards. We found time to enjoy time alone, but had conversations with other couples seeking the same.
Each morning Russ and Lori prepared a breakfast for all guests with the utmost attention to detail. All breads were made by scratch. We enjoyed fruit each morning along side blueberry with lemon zest pancakes accompanied by bacon, juice and coffee. We enjoyed another morning multigrain breads, egg frittata, local preserves, and the most amazing French toast I’ve ever had. Russ made the bread several days earlier and allowed it to go stale to then soak in Carmel liquor and egg wash to cook to perfection all topped by fresh peaches. It’s in the details.
We arranged for a wine tasting tour and a beach day for two. Russ spoke to us about our interest in wine and made suggestions to vineyards that would peak our taste. This was a great deal if you are interested in sampling a variety of wines. Another afternoon we had a wonderful beach cart full of towels, blanket, lunch for two, umbrella and chairs for a day of enjoying the Barcelona Harbor beach.
We chose this location because it was close enough to drive to from home, limited rooms and proximity to the water. We were thrilled with all of our adventures and time together celebrating our 20th anniversary together.

The Barcelona Lakeside B&B is a beautifully maintained, historic property overlooking Lake Erie. My husband and I stayed for the Labor Day weekend in the Morse Suite which offered privacy, handicapped access and the most comfortable bed we ever slept on. The entire property is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The food was amazing!! The owners are charming folks who shared the history of the property and many interesting features of the architecture. We would highly recommend this peaceful, quiet location for its comfort, beautiful views of the lake and warm hospitality.

I would 100% recommend staying at The Barcelona Lakeside Bed&Breakfast to anyone looking for a fun getaway. Lori and Ron not only provide their guests with a beautiful place to stay, but are friendly and attentive. The whole house was comfortable and homey. The food prepared was fresh and delicious. My friend and I booked their paddle and picnic package, and we weren’t disappointed. We got two kayaks, life jackets, sunscreen, big spray, beach towels, and a big picnic lunch for a great price. I stayed at Barcelona Inn for one night in between two days of water sports. Right on Lake Erie and close to Chataqua Lake. The Foote Suite was perfect for me. Well appointed, clean and comfortable . The Inn is 200 years old but is updated and clean. Bed was very comfortable. The owners Russ and Lori were very nice and made sure I knew about all the amenities including the delicious breakfast by Russ…Cinnamon French Toast with peaches and thick cut bacon. Russ makes the cinnamon bread and the peaches were macerated with a little bourbon! The Inn sits right on a main Route so the front rooms may hear a little traffic but the road is not too busy. The rooms are equipped with window air conditioners so expect some “white noise” in the summer time although the inn is protected from the sun by beautiful large trees so the common areas of the inn are comfortable even without air conditioning and it was 90 degrees. There is an outdoor hot tub (did not use) and lovely garden and porch to sit and read. I would return again!

We stopped here on a whim for one night while making our way home during an east coast road trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We called from only about 20 minutes away and Lori (apologies if I get the names incorrect) was able to accommodate us. This (early April) is the start of their busy season and as it turned out, we happened to catch a night in which we were the only guests. We had a completely relaxing stay. They have a coffee/tea station set up at no extra cost and beer and wine at a small additional cost. They also have all sorts of packages available (charcuterie, champagne, picnic, etc.) if you give them a small heads up - just say so when you call. We enjoyed the front patio and the view of Lake Erie from the property and our room (Tupper) during our stay. The property is also adjacent to a vineyard - I can imagine how nice it is in bloom. The breakfast was tasty - a pepper and onion quiche, roasted potatoes, sausage patties, toast, fresh squeezed orange juice, and coffee. Russ was also looking after us and was attentive and conversational during breakfast. The Tupper room was quite spacious including the bathroom and had more than enough seating. Overall we had an excellent stay and can highly recommend Barcelona Lakeside.

My husband and I were driving across the country and found this charming B&B to stay at overnight before continuing on our journey. The whole experience was absolutely lovely, from the setting on Lake Erie amongst the vineyards, to the warm and inviting rooms with extremely comfortable beds, to the delicious cheese and charcuterie board the owners had waiting for us upon arrival. The wonderful breakfast of French toast with cinnamon peaches and thick cut bacon was exactly what we needed before another long day of driving. The owners were delightful and we are looking forward to staying there again soon!

We had an amazing weekend at the bed and breakfast. The historic house is beautifully decorated and our room was furnished with everything we would need! Russ and Lori are great hosts, doing all they can to make your stay special, from preparing delicious breakfasts and lunches to telling the history of the house at breakfast. You can’t beat the location, right across the street from a small sand beach, ten minutes to adorable Westfield, right off I-90 and a short drive to Chautauqua.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our 2 year anniversary, and it was AMAZING! We included the anniversary package with our two night stay. We walked into our room and a beautiful bouquet of roses and champagne were awaiting us. The room was clean and modern, yet it still had the character and charm of the 200 year old house. Russ and Lori are WONDERFUL hosts. I have a severe dairy allergy, and they never skipped a beat in serving me! Russ ensured that all of my food was dairy free and that I was still enjoying what everyone else was having. He made me vegan pumpkin pie pancakes (which were my absolute favorite) and a dairy-free egg frittata with crispy potatoes. He even kindly made vegan and gluten free pumpkin bread as a snack, which was fantastic.
The attention to detail at this place is phenomenal, and I can guarantee that if you book here, you will return again! I know that my boyfriend and I are already making plans to book in the summer when we can go on hikes around Chautauqua, and I am also planning to take my mother for Mother's Day. This was our first time at Barcelona B&B and we would definitely love to book again! Our room was lovely, clean, and peaceful, decorated with an Asian theme (other rooms have different decor). We looked forward to the fantastic breakfasts al fresco with a view of the lake in front, and vineyard in back. The hosts are engaging and welcoming, and filled us in on the history of the house and area. Great location for access to the wine trail, Lake Erie beaches and marinas, Lake Chautauqua, and local restaurants, but there is also plenty of seating on the porch and property if you just want to relax and enjoy the view. Boating, picnic and other packages are available. We really enjoyed exploring the area, and winding down at Barcelona B&B.

What a beautiful place for a weekend get away. The owners Lori and Russ are very nice and accommodating and knowledgeable about the history of this 1830’s house. Their homemade breakfasts are very delicious! The views of Lake Erie and The Barcelona Lighthouse across the street are breathtaking. We stayed in La Due room which was large and comfortable and had all the beautiful views too. We had roses, cake and champagne in our room from our Anniversary package. We got a beautiful large charcuterie board in the afternoon on Saturday. The fresh cheeses, fruits, vegetables, meats, mixed nuts and homemade bread were sooo delicious. Best charcuterie board we have ever eaten. There is a lot to do in the area from wine tastings at the local wineries, to delicious restaurants along Lake Chautauqua and so many other water sports on the lakes if that’s what you’re in to. We drive up to Dunkirk to see the Lighthouse but it’s was closed due to the Covid restrictions. We got to meet so many nice people too. We sat by the fire pit at the B&B and talked to another couple our age for several hours one evening. We even got some private hot tub time as part of our Anniversary package too. The property backs up to a vineyard used by Welch’s. I took so many pictures. My husband made the reservation we checked inn at 6 but I would imagine it's earlier than that.Usually check is around 4.Check out was 11am which was plenty of time .Breakfast was at 9. If you give them a ring they are very accommodating. Enjoy!

Thank you for your interest. We are about 30 minutes from Lilydale. There are two B&Bs that are closer - Edwards Waterhouse Inn and Brookside Manor which are both in Fredonia which is about 15 mins. from Lilydale if that would work better for you!
There are more places to choose from in the Westfield area.
