We had a meeting (about 25 people) at the Thayer. I have planned many meetings and working with the Thayer was the worst. They overcharge for everything ($5/day for an extension cord, $150/day for a phone, $16 per person for a coffee break, $9.99/day/device for WiFi...). They quoted me $400/day for the meeting room then emailed and said I could...

Returned to West Point for a class reunion. The Thayer was the hub for all our activities. From the moment of arrival the staff and service was excellent. From the valets greeting you as you pulled up to unload (valet parking was included in our rate) to a friendly and helpful greeting at check in to positive and cheerful service...

We attended a wedding at the Thayer Hotel and stayed for an overnight. It was extremely clean, had a beautiful view, very comfortable bed & pillows, and a delicious brunch. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. If we are ever in the area again, I'll happily stay here!

Having not been back in the Thayer since graduation in the summer of 1982, we were curious. No questions here...new ownership has enabled a five-star experience, beginning with a helpful staff member who greets you at the door. MacArthur dining room is excellent, and if you happen to get Sandy to attend to your table, you'll not find better service...

Impressive service from your check-in, getting your baggage from your car either the front parking or the lower parking area. Super service from the guys at the front door, the crew at the restaurant, overall customer service received was superb.

Fine hotel, fine location. Very comfortable rooms, and most helpful staff. The dining experience was good, though the Friday dinner seafood buffet seemed "tired" according to some in our party. And the specially ordered roast beef next day was unexceptional. But it's all about the history in and on those walls!

If I had ten million dollars or some interested investors I would buy land very close to USMA West Point and build a luxury hotel. The Thayer is an older property that is showing its age, but compared to everything else within ten miles of West Point it is a palace. There is a Hampton about 11 miles away we...

We stayed here for Easter this year and it was amazing. Walking through the hotel is like taking a walk back into history. The hallways are full of pictures of famous USMA graduates and their stories. The rooms were lovely and spacious and they had a view of the Hudson which was such a treat. The hotel staff was also...

This room was very clean and well set up. The bathroom was big as well. I liked the fact that there were TV's in every room as well. The location is also exceptional and the food choices in the hotel are very good.

The Thayer Hotel was not only a beautiful wedding venue but also an incredible place for a weekend get away. I was there for my cousins wedding the first weekend in April. The hotel staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are exquisite and the food was delicious. It is such a beautiful and historical place. I would highly recommend!
