We stayed here for two nights in the off season. It was right on the beach front and was a commody of errors. We turned up and found that they also have apartments at 4 Buffalo Beach Road. We got shown in and the door was open so we moved in. We found later that the key we had was... More

Our stay at Marlin Apartments was very pleasant although $200 per night was excessive for a 1960s unit. It was very clean and tidy and Vivien was a very obliging manager. The outlook to the bay was beautiful and sunset on the patio was a great way to end each day.

I had a one bedroom apartment, suited me as I was in town for only one night, the cost was ok, the owners were very nice, the Marlin is only 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of town or the ferry crossing, There is a 4sq supermarket which is 5 mins walk just down the road which was handy, the... This apartment was in an ideal position looking out to sea. It was the last few days of our stay in New Zealand and what a wonderful spot to end it. We enjoyed a smashing bbq sat outside drinking eating and reminiscing with our son and his girlfriend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Whitianga is a beautiful place to spend your holidays with loads to do around it. The apartment was clean and spacious, however I wouldn't recommend booking just one apartment if you are traveling with 4 adults. The fold out couch was - if so - suitable for a child to sleep on but not for two adults - worst sleep... More

We spent three nights here in November 2015. We had expected to find perfectly adequate accommodation so were very pleased to find that it was much better than that - it was perfect as far as we're concerned! Clearly recently redecorated, everything was fresh and clean, the bed was nearly as comfortable as ours at home, the bathroom and kitchen... More

Stayed 3 nights in a one bedroom ground floor appartment. Perfect location on the beach front. Well equipped and comfortable space with a furnished patio. Take your own toiletries. Easy walk to a few restaurants and a lovely little cinema just along the road. A few minutes into the small town and to a lovely marina area with a great... More

We stayed at the Marlin Apartments for 4 nights in February 2014. We were in #2, the two bedroom apartment. It was a lovely apartment, with all the amenities, including working WiFi and Sky TV. We were self catering, so used the kitchen quite a bit. Only thing that didn't work well was the oven. The views from the full... More

All reviews are subjective, of course. We loved the Marlin Apartments, we found the owners to be very friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly for us. We had a two-bedroom apartment at the front, so probably the best spot and very spacious. All for the price of a one-bed apartment as we just turned up and there were... More
