For a luxury lodge it left a little to be desired. It won its awards in 2011 and it seems things have changed a little since then, though not the prices! All very much premium. It's exceptionally well positioned in the Margaret River but expensive hotels that win awards don't have weeds growing outside your window or phones that have... More

Stayed here in 2003 and back for first time; we weren't disappointed. Exceptional hotel and restaurant. Breakfast is a highlight. The Lake Suites were perfectly renovated and highly recommend. Saw a review about dated quality of the rooms, so if this is a concern, just email and ask what has been renovated. Believe they are doing reno for Garden View... More

Secluded though in the centre of the vineyards with beautiful gardens. The rooms are lovely and are garden view room also overlooked the lake. Staff are wonderful and the food is spectacular. Their wine is very good and only available on site. Love it.

Spent three pampering nights at this gorgeous, Dutch Cape-inspired country hotel. Surrounded by beautiful countryside in the the heart of the Margaret River vineyards, and situated on a pretty lake, this hotel offers everything. We had a Lake View suite, minimalist in design and decor, but good old fashioned luxury in the form of the bed and the stand-alone bath... More

Just had a lovely "Luxury Escape" to Cape Lodge to celebrate a birthday. We had 3 nights and loved every minute. There were birthday balloons on arrival and every one I met said happy birthday to me, making me feel quite special. We were upgraded and our room was gorgeous. The balcony overlooked a lake which was alive with bird... More

My wife and I visited for our 10th anniversary. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a lake-view room - which was lovely. Spent hours gazing over the lake then wandered over to the restaurant for a sublime meal. All 4 courses of the meal were amazing (and each of the options for each course was appealing). Service and food were... More

Beautiful grounds featuring a lakeside setting and with only the sounds of birdlife and the gentle chorus of the leaves moving in the magnificent eucalypt trees ensures you will feel sense tranquillity as soon as you arrive. Our second visit to Cape Lodge, some ten years apart, did not disappoint, the service is still warm but unobtrusive, the rooms are... More

We recently spent five days at this wonderful location. Attention to detail was amazing as was the quality of breakfast and dinner in the restaurant overlooking the lake. It was very difficult to leave.
