Basic hotel/motel, $80/night. Room contained a double and single bed, shower/toilet ensuite, TV and bar fridge (no alcohol in it- just glasses and a couple of containers of long life milk). Showing it's age but clean, clean linen and nice warm blankets on the bed (good thing as the R/C aircon doesn't work- the separate heater unit was fine). Room... More

Our first night in Walpole we went to the local pub for dinner as we Australians like to do The pub its self is old and need of a good make over. You grab a menu at the bar and place your order there and get drinks as well. The lady behind the bar was helpful with the menu telling... More

Found myself in Walpole for Thursday night Not really over enthused about any of the reviewed premises , but took my chance on Walpole Hotel Motel , on the advice of a client . The published pics of the establishment are now 'out of date' with a fresh coat of paint to the outside of the units having been done... More

We paid $90 per double for one night, our two travelling companions did not have a television in their room , the bathroom floor in our room was dirty and the whole room needed refurbishing , this is a very basic motel, the only good thing I can say about it is the chap who booked us in was very... We stayed overnight in Walpole and stayed elsewhere but decided to eat at the Walpole Hotel, finding it to be a typical small town pub. After buying a drink in the public bar we found the dining room and checked out the menu. Initially the waitress was nowhere to be seen so the chef was doing the cooking and serving.... More

This is a basic motel but had all the facilities you need, fridge, tv, tea and coffee facilities, they even had milk in the fridge for us to use. There is a restaurant and Bottlemart next door. If you fancy a walk there is a jetty which is a few minutes from the hotel.

Although friendly staff at the reception we didn't really enjoy our stay here. The room was run down and tired but clean expect from all the dead flies in the windows. The linoleum on the floor was loose around the edges and there was a huge gap underneath the front door. The attached bottle shop and bar gives a sense... More

Lunch and staff were fantastic. Great squid as entree and a magnificent steak sanga with the lot. Could not jump over it. Others had the oysters and steaks good value pub grub. Value for money. If coming through town well worth it. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Staff nice enough and friendly and rooms were clean on arrival. But in general the motel is totally run down, eg a second fridge was placed in room but old one not removed. Roof strut missing, roof hanging dangerously low. Nobody made room up while staying there.

We visited here for lunch mid-week and were greeted warmly on arrival. We ordered a fish and chips and a steak sandwich which were brought out promptly to us by the chef. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and returned the following day for another lunch meal. This time we ordered a steak sandwich again and a chicken burger. Again... More
