On a wet night was happy to find a bed for the night. We were in a dormitory but, with no other guests sharing it was private. The lodge is clean and basic. Beds comfortable. Communal kitchen appeared to be well fitted out, though we didn't use it. Staff were helpful, pointing out eating options in town. The only major...

The hostel itself is very nice. Beautiful and well equipped kitchen, fantastic outside area, convenient parking. I was in a single room. All the room entrances were facing the communal room. There were a couple of guys watching TV very loud, so that was a bit of a nuisance. Later they were watching something in the room next to mine....

Walpole is a very small town with a beautiful inlet and National Park of 400 year old Tingle trees. The giant trees are totally hollow (eaten or burnt out) and still alive. Our accommodation at Walpole Lodge was comfortable and enjoyable. The lodge offers both backpacker and rooms with ensuite. Our ensuite room contained a double and two single beds...

We were booked to stay at this establishment and were expecting it to be very ordinary. That was the understatement. It is nothing more or less that a backpacker establishment with community kitchen and community dining hall. They do not actually tell you that if you do not bring food, you will go hungry. We paid for the night to...

I stayed there in the fall which seemed to be something of a down time. Most of the others there were only staying one night passing through. Good location close to several of the national parks and other forest attractions, such as Mount Lindsay and Mount Frankland. The room had a very good heater and plenty of blankets which was...

Had a huge and comfortable family room with a warm welcome on arrival.Plenty to do in the area....wished we had been able to stay longer here and in the evening cosy in front of the fire.Best of all a fantastic shower before a restful quiet nights sleep. If ever here again would book in an instant and the price is excellent.

The room was clean and tidy. The kitchen is huge enough and it allows two groups of people cooking at the same time. However we were so disappointed that the Wi-Fi didn't work. Apparently it was down due to the weather.
