Had a 2 night stay here. Lovely setting with the old house in a beautiful garden. Chris was very welcoming, recommended a great place for dinner on our first night then cooked the guests dinner for our second night. We all sat around a common dining table enjoying great food and conversation.
We spent three nights here. Beautiful setting and garden. $185 per night for ‘bed and breakfast’ - definitely not value for money. Very disappointed. I would not go again as there are other more convenient places to stay.
The most amazing place to stay in the area, everything is clean, green and full of life at this property. Food growing everywhere, your surrounded by fruit trees, green lawns, well looked after gardens, especially there dog Lola, we just loved her. The rooms are well appointed, the beds very comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed. The owners are very accommodating and friendly and put out a real wholesome breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed. There isn't internet available but there are plenty of things to distract yourself with. The property is approx. 5km from town where you can access Wifi if you need it, Thanks Chris and Phil for a lovely stay
This is a lovely spot! Chris and her husband were very friendly hosts, and the breakfast they made for us was absolutely delicious, with lots of local produce. The rooms were very characterful with lots of original features, and the setting of the home was bucolic. You could hear frogs and owls at night time, and in the day time there was a lovely view of the verdant country side. Food and setting aside, the highlight for me was Chris's adorable dog, Lady Lola - she was just delightful! This is definitely a place to go if you want to unplug: it being so remote, there is no phone signal or internet. So, I would recommend staying here if you want to get back to basics: no Facebook or e-mail, just animals, hearty food and countryside walks.
Awesome historic building. Great surroundings. Chris & Phil made us feel at home and looked after us very well. Wish we had bern able to stay longer but will definitely be back. We loved the ambience and were relaxed within minutes. Highly recommend this beautiful home. We will be back
