We enjoyed looking at the buildings and walking around the property on our self-guided tour. The booklet provided was very informative as were the photo albums on display. Included in the $10 entry fee is a morning tea with freshly baked muffins which can be had before or after the tour depending on the time of your visit. Very picturesque... More

My husband rang 3 times. On each occasion, he left a message, and the calls were not returned. He also sent an email and again, no response. On the 4 th phone call, it was answered, so we made a booking for 4 nights. When we arrived, they knew nothing about the booking. The lady who booked us in, was... More

Great place, friendly people, super helpful and dog friendly. sites are really good, lovely fire pits, river walks and great facilitries. It has no power, but hot showers, camp kitchen, station tours, and if you have a four wheel drive, you can camp off the beaten track

We quite enjoyed our stay. Some of the sites are clearly defined but other sections are more open. The sites varied from compacted gravel or dirt to some which were quite soft sand and boggy. Toilets are not close to the camp ground and require a bit of treck.

A simple way to explore a local station and history by walking around and seeing it as it was and is. There are old buildings, old machinery & cars etc, goats, alpacas, chickens, horses and a dog. The homemade morning tea enjoyed in the garden is a nice touch, as is the brochure that guides the walker.

We stayed 3 nights here and had a great stay. Pros: beautiful setting, camp right on the river, kitchen fully stocked with everything a traveller needs (even an oven!), amenities clean, farm animals are cool and great location. Cons: amenities are cheap and old, some soft sand to be aware if you've got a big van and owners aren't the... More

We just completed the self guided tour at Murchison House Station. This was very informative and the booklet supplied was well prepared with information on the history of this property. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk and visit of the old building in such a picturesque setting right against the Murchison River. Plus once complete you receive a morning tea with... More

We had run out of things to see and do so we headed to the Homestaed to See the homestead and Its History, The history was interesting, from what we seen from a phoo album laying on a chair. $10 a head for a self tour with a phamplett to explain the layout and history which was well written and... A pleasant location on the Murchison river but property owner not very friendly, pricing more than quoted on phone, no lighting in toilets or showers even though there is globes and light switches. Had to pay cash just a low season money grab. It would be more cost affective to stay at a park in town with power water and... More

The station is open 9-1pm each day and well worth a visit. A corrugated road leads you into the property and for $10 each you can walk around it at your leisure .This fee includes a delicious morning tea of freshly baked muffins which you can eat on comfortable chairs in the garden a beautifully illustrated glossy booklet that acts...
