My husband and I stayed in a "luxury" villa over the road at the Osprey. The shower was full of mould. There is outdoor tables in the bedroom. Blind in the bedroom is broken. Window doesnt close. How they call this luxury is beyond me. All in all the whole resort is old, dirty and tired. Restaurant prices are through... More

This accommodation must be from the 1970's with no upgrade since. The price is certainly in the 21st century, but the rooms were a huge disappointment The bathroom with toilet was very small and only 1 person could fit at a time. The air-conditioner which did blow air, even if it wasn't cooled, had to be turned off and the... More

I stayed in the backpackers dorm which were very good as long as you didn't mind sharing, the best thing about sharing is meeting new people from all walks of life and from different countries. They have two price lists for residence and backpackers an example is the bottles of Carlton beer, $8 in the hotel bar but only $4... More

Me and my friend stayed at the end of potshot hotel for few days in August and while the room wasn't very big it had the normal facilities of bed / tv / fridge and bathroom which is all I need and had a range of places nearby to eat and was near to the town which was around 5-10min... More

Really enjoyed our salt and pepper squid. Big servings with lovely fresh salad. Nice young girl serving behind the bar and very quick service. House Chardonnay was very nice and well priced. Worth a look. Not many in when we were there but seemed to be mostly locals and young families.

Not sure why they call this a resort. At best it is a back packers and motel type accommodation. Our unit was satisfactory but very expensive. It was a self contained two bedroom units with a small kitchette. It overlooked a fallen down rusty fence, a large drain and a disused vacant lot. Most disappointed. No free wifi as promised... Staff were great and the location is excellent but the hotel is very tired and need an upgrade ASAP. In saying that everything worked and we still enjoyed our stay and in the end of the day all we wanted was some where to sleep because during the day we were out enjoying Exmouth.

We opted for private en suite room, which was clean and adequate for our short stay. Staff we're friendly and with the bar/restaurant on site we were very happy. There's communal kitchen / bbq area though for those that prefer to byo.

Whilst this hotel is run very well and has some great staff. The hotel is very basic and run down. The beds were very old and uncomfortable, the taps leaked, there were bed sheets on the floor in the bistro to soak up the rain leaking through the ceiling.

I think calling the Potshot a resort is a bit of a stretch nowadays. It has a couple of small pools, a tired restaurant and a range of accommodation, but it really needs a bit of TLC and some new fixed signage to improve a bit. The prices charged are very steep for the quality. We stayed in a 2... More
