Ford House is a collection of independent cottages. We stayed in the Jim Thorpe suite which is in the same cottage and adjacent to the Honeymoon suite with which it shares a lunge room and kitchen. Having stayed here previously I couldn't help notice the deterioration in the property. It is starting to show its age. The room was small...

I stayed at Ford House a week ago and found it be both charming and quirky. Entrance to the reception is through a garden containing several little shop stalls selling hats, garden ornaments, kitchenware and general bric a brac. Reception itself was full of hundreds of ornaments and other items for sale or just for show. All very enticing. My...

Always a lovely relaxing place to stay, stepping back in time to a world of peace and tranquility. Nothing better than sitting by the river with a good book and a coffee. Thanks once again for your hospitality.

Spent a weekend here with my wife in June '16 - Stayed in one of the outer buildings - very modern and luxuriously furnished and I would think quieter than in the larger buildings with separate rooms. Being mid winter it was of course freezing. Air-conditioned with electric blankets on the bed and a wonderfully appointed bathroom with spa bath....

Just a hidden piece of heaven. The walks along the river in the early morning start the day with a sense of quiet and beauty. The joyful chat at breakfast and meeting different guests, give a added interest with unexpected stories to share. The owner Jenny is a one off character - a conversation with her is unforgettable. A truly...

We were very pleasantly surprised at this amazing property. It is truely beautiful. Where do we begin!! The accomodation is very homely and comfortable, the original Ford Homestead remains in it's olde world charm. The breakfast room is a wonderland for all to see. The gardens are a typical cottage style. We can highly recommend this property, thank you Jenny for...

Discovered the Wags Emporium gift shop last year (and it is impressive in its breadth of goodies) and did almost all our Christmas shopping there so this year decided to make a holiday of it and stayed a couple of nights and shopped a lot - well my wife did the shopping bit. Stayed in the Delaporte Suite which was...

This was a return visit after 16 years. We stayed in The Cooks Retreat, which is a very private room with a beautiful wisteria covered veranda and view to the river. The room was clean and comfortably furnished, The gardens since we were last there have been extended and were an absolute pleasure to meander through. We also enjoyed the extensive...
