We bought a take away fish and chips from here which was good value for money and very tasty. The serving was just the right size and came with a small tub of a yummy aoli. The service was quick and I would recommend it for take away. We did not eat in so not sure how it is.

We have stayed at a few old Federation style country hotels within 300km of Perth. Many provide accommodation but the actual structure is somewhat deteriorating. The Bridgie is different. Some significant work has gone into this place. I rather like the township and the main street of Bridgetown, compared to the more dispersed geography of other major towns on the... More

Great place to eat whether it's lunch or dinner, friendly service with a very good menu for a country hotel and maybe even better than a lot of city pubs. Prices are reasonable and if you only feel like a very good coffee and some delicious cakes they have these too.

We were a party of five on a Sunday evening. Really enjoyed our meal here. Was surprised for a country hotel on how good the food was, with a good selection. Supported with a good desert and coffee selection. Decor was modern with a good use of Jarrah wood. The prices were very competitive. Well worth a visit if your... More

We've been renovating and had no kitchen for two weeks. Most evening meals we had at the Bridgetown Hotel and have now eating almost the entire menu. The service was good and efficient and the meals were fresh, good portions and each night there were always people eating both locals and visitors. The meals are all well priced...depending what you... More

The rooms are reasonable but apart from the spa bath, there's not much extras for what you pay. The layout of the rooms indicate that they have pushed out the rooms through an internal corridor, making a large ensuite bathroom but creating slightly awkward room layouts; which in our room, meant that the Queen bed was up very close to... We've been to bridgetown 4 times and tried various restaurants. The Bridgetown Hotel is probably the best restaurant we ate at. It's not cheap ($32 for lasagna?) but it's good quality. I ordered porter house with sweet potatoes, broccolini, mushrooms & mushrooms sauce. It was cooked to perfection and the sauce was so yummy. Cost $35. Apparently the new chef... More

On arrival for a meal we were greeted by an unwelcoming waitress for meal service who did not really want to be there serving customers. The other waitress serving drinks in the same area had the right attitude. The steak sandwich on menu boast the "best steak sandwich in the south west" or words to that effect. The 3 we... More

Great old country pub right in the middle of town, great staff and service and meals were very large and affordable. The day we were there, there was a large number of classic cars in town driving up and down the main street, it was great to sit there watching with a beer in hand

Disappointed - Our greeting and welcome was "there is a 30- 45 min wait for your food" by the bar man. Asked to sit out on the balcony but was told the large table was already taken, asked if we could push some smaller tables together (party of 7) and was told "no that could not be done". Was directed... More
