A group of us stayed here Saturday night and absolutely loved it. The host is the most hospitable we have ever had, nothing was too much trouble. It was all about our comfort from early check ins so that we could attend ales on rails, to advice about best places to eat, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are...

We stayed at the Colonial Motel for two nights in mid November. Our room was comfortable, well equipped and quiet. The location was great. It was an easy walk to the shopping prescient and a great base for touring the surrounding goldfields region. We visited Maldon, Taradale and Bendigo. On checking out we left two telephone chargers in our room....

Love staying at the Colonial, Castlemaine. Big rooms, very quiet and walking distance to so many places I like going. Wow, check out the Taproom at the Old Woollen Mills, its brilliant. Yummy beers brewed right there. Can't beat walking back to your comfy bed.

Nicely presented clean room with good amenities. Within easy walking distance of the City Center of the Historic town of Castlemaine in the heart of the Golden triangle. An ideal spot to stay while touring the historic Goldfield areas surroundings. Highly recommended as a base for historically minded, or simply tourist attractions. Close to historic towns Bendigo and Maldon.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and quiet. Well positioned to explore the town and surrounding district, with several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Room service meals were also available although we didn't need to use these.

We spent a night here on a whim and it was lovely. Very clean, with a comfy bed and lovely shower it was made even better by helpful smiling staff. They called us straight away when we left some gear behind too. Centrally located and reasonably priced. Totally positive experience.

The Motel was recomended by the visitors information centre in Bendigo. It was easy to find, clean and comfortable. The recently renovated bathroom was lovely. Friendly staff are the icing on top. Would definately recomend this motel.

Stayed just one night and could not fault the hotel at all. The room (ground level across from reception) was spacious and beautiful, with a very large bathroom, and the location is only a couple of blocks from the centre of town. I also have to recommend the French toast for breakfast, absolutely divine with syrup, fruit and yoghurt! The...

When we enter the apartment, we never fail to be delighted by the warmth of our welcome, with the heater turned on well in advance of our arrival and the soft lights glowing beside the bed which is, itself, made in heaven. Its lace-trimmed sheets and pillows and opulent quilt and cushions are gob-smacking. The apartment is amazingly well-equipped and...

A very welcoming place to stay after a long drive. The rooms have been recently and tastefully renovated and have good linen and comfortable beds. Maddison, who checked us in, was friendly and very helpful. Easy walking for dinner or to wander around the town. We had a very comfortable night here and would stay here again.
