A group of us stayed at Lochinver for the third year in a row. We had a great time yet again, using both the farmhouse and Creek Cottage. It seems that Alison and John are not content to sit on their laurels. Every year some type of improvement is noticeable. The facilities certainly catered for our group of 11 people... More

We stayed three nights in the Blue Wren cottage which is very charming with a fireplace, spacious bedrooms and a farm style kitchen. We liked being able to wander around the beautiful farm and our young kids loved exploring and spotting animals and farm machinery. Alison and John are wonderful, friendly hosts and nothing is a problem. The location is... More

Great spot for our annual visits with a group of friends - and the opportunity to catch up with hosts Alison & John. The main original bluestone house and adjacent Creek Cottage (all in excellent condition) accommodate us all (and could accommodate more). The recent extra bathroom is a big plus - but the absolute pleasure is to be in... More

Our group has been staying at Lochinver for 15 years over the Easter period. We first stayed when Alison, John and family made it available, and have loved it so much we have returned every year since! We love the peaceful atmosphere, and the wonderful accomodation. The house is furnished with beautiful furniture and can easily accomodate a large group.... More

This was our second stay at Lockinver Homestead. We are group of 11 and Allison has put us all up in very comfortable accommodation throughout the homestead. The homestead is large and you get a sense of how living in the country was a 100 years ago. We stayed in the self contained cottage which was very comfortable. The countryside... More

Last month a group of us paid a return visit to Lochinver Farm as we so enjoyed our first visit back in 2014. The farmhouse is a real "home away from home" with the living areas big enough that one isn't tripping over each other. The kitchen has a lovely big table making meal preparation easy and there is everything... More

My wife and I have stayed a Lochinver Farm twice before in a beautiful creek side cottage and greatly enjoyed both weekends. This time we stayed in the Napier Wing of the Homestead and found it very private and equally enjoyable. Lochinver Farm draws us back with it's comfortable accommodation, the fact that it is a 100+ year old working... More

This is the second time I have stayed at the Homestead as part of a large group of old school friends who catch up annually and would heartily endorse this venue. Having stayed as a group of 12 (with Creek Cottage) and 10 this year, the homestead is a wonderful retreat. The house is fantastic for self-catering with everything you... More

We arranged a stay here, over this last weekend (Footy Grand Final weekend) for 17 members of a walking club. We had the Homestead (for 12) and Blue Wren Cottage (for 5). It was a great choice. The whole place is sensational. The Homestead was built in 1860 (very old by Australian standards), the front is local bluestone, and it... More

We stayed at Lochinver Farm in a group of eleven, and we were charmed. The farmhouse is well-appointed and the hosts are kind enough to provided both linen and towels. By chance, we had a record cold snap in Victoria, but the heating and cozy woollen doonas kept us warm though the nights. The farm itself is picturesque, with a... More
