We went on this trip with Robinsons coach company, it was organised well from the start, we arrived in Penzanze on Sunday stayed overnight in the queens hotel on the sea front, had evening meal, rooms small and standard but neverthe less it was clean and was only for one night. We collected the ferry across to scilly isles the next...

A great find! Really pleased to have stayed here after, admittedly, some trepidation having read the reviews on Trip Advisor. When I booked our trip to the Scilly Isles some eight months earlier in late January (thinking I'd have the pick of the accommodation), the Bell Rock ended up being our seventh-choice hotel as everywhere else was already fully booked....

We booked to stay B&B basis for 2 nights, travelling as a family of 4 (2 children aged 7&8). Daniel was very accommodating, adding a put up bed to a triple room to accommodate the 4 of us in a 'family suit'. This was much appreciated & still gave us plenty of room & an ideal base for a great...

Thank you for your review. I am pleased we were able to help you to visit on your last minute short break (that ended up a little longer!) by juggling room combinations around to get the 4 of you in; especially when the fog came down on your planned departure day causing disruption to many. Travel insurance for all eventualities...

This is not really a hotel but more a large boarding house with extras. I don't mean this in a derogatory sense but some aspects do not quite come up to expectation as a modern hotel. It is spotlessly clean, the staff are caring, friendly and helpful and its situation ideal for visitors. Where it fails is in the run-down...

As an officially accredited 2 Star Hotel through Visit England, we are inspected annually by an "official" Hotel Inspector (anonymously, until their checkout). I can safely say that our award is (and has been for many years) in the upper scale of the 2 Star category. All areas exceed the required criteria; be it Rooms/Furniture, Public Areas, Food, Service etc...

It amazes me that this is just 2 star. Stayed for a walking break with HF Holidays and were well served and looked after. Staff are very helpful and friendly, rooms comfy and clean and the evening meals are especially delicious with well thought-through menus. The hotel is in a good spot just outside the shopping area and equally distant...

Thank you for your review & kind words. We are pleased to read you enjoyed your stay with us at Bell Rock and the walking tour through HF Holidays. These small groups offer a great way to see much of the islands whilst being guided by a local leader. Maybe you will be spurred on to return in the future...

A Superior Two Star Hotel The Hotel is a short level walk from the Harbour. Check in at Reception was painless and efficient. The Manager was very accommodating. He was most helpful about all aspects of our stay. Our bedroom was just about right size. Room 14 at the end of the corridor with a view over the adjoining back...

Hotel is pleasant enough. Only stayed for one night but found the hotel to be friendly and clean throughout. My room was of good size and with a decent shower. Situated in Hugh Town, its a great location and I would defiantly stay here again given the choice.

Really pleasant hotel, ideally placed for two beaches both a 5 minute walk away. Both of us are well into retirement, but luckily quite fit, as there are plenty of sights to be seen, but to get to Tresco Abbey Gardens, a boat trip is necessary, and the walks around the gardens can be a difficult if you are mobility...

Thanks you for your review. We are pleased to see you enjoyed both the Hotel and Scilly. I went over to the Scillys for work and stayed at the Bell Rock for 3 night's. Daniel and his team were warm, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was clean and comfortable and it was refreshing to see hotel staff working together as a team.

We had room 23 on ground floor - sandwiched between kitchen and rubbish bins at back of hotel. Bad smell from kitchen as access from front of hotel was past kitchen. In summary very overpriced for the facilities we got. From outside very impressive with loads of character but once inside tired and old fashioned.

It is a real shame you feel you have to review us in this way. Your booking was made on late availability on an offer B&B tariff. At the time of the booking, the room position was explained as on the ground floor at the rear of the hotel, rather than the front of the hotel, that you said you...
