We'd decided to take a holiday on St Mary's and booked into the Bell Rock Hotel on the strength of a local recommmendation. Plus points would definitely include the overall standard of catering and furnishings and unfailingly polite and attentive service. The location in Hugh Town's main street is also a convenient one as there's only a few minutes walk... More

The Bell Rock Hotel apartment is beautifully appointed 2 person accommodation. The flat is on the second floor and is accessed by its own external stairway. There are two large rooms. The bedroom has a king size bed and loads of room and its own TV. The living/kitchen area is also spacious and comfortable and also has a TV. The... More

Back again for the umpteenth visit - welcomed by Manager with a 'Welcome Home' greeting! Never need to worry about standard at this establishment - 2 Star doesn't cover the quality, management, catering and general ambience and we can't wait for next year when we will return to relive our holiday.

We booked our stay in the Bell Rock relatively late in the season, and were grateful to Daniel, the Manager, for his help and patience in sorting out arrangements and answering our questions. Initial impressions on arrival were positive. We were greeted courteously, taken to our room, and made to feel genuinely welcome. The hotel is relatively small, and has... More

The Scillies was somewhere that we had always intended to visit , but had never got around to . After rave reviews from family who go regularly , we bit the bullet , braved The Scillonia and went. I booked the Bell Rock because it appeared to tick the boxes( unpretentious , comfortable , convenient ) and we weren`t disappointed... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay in the Bell Rock hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were very good and served promptly even though we were part of a group. Our room had all we needed. I especially liked the cushions and bed runner and (hallelujah!) there were two chairs. I would definitely stay there if... More

I came here for four nights with a friend and we were so pleased we stayed here. We originally booked on a b and b basis but the evening meals were so good that we ate in every night. Three courses, beautifully cooked and presented with very good waitressing staff. We had a ground floor twin bedded room at the... More

A great find! Really pleased to have stayed here after, admittedly, some trepidation having read the reviews on Trip Advisor. When I booked our trip to the Scilly Isles some eight months earlier in late January (thinking I'd have the pick of the accommodation), the Bell Rock ended up being our seventh-choice hotel as everywhere else was already fully booked.... We booked to stay B&B basis for 2 nights, travelling as a family of 4 (2 children aged 7&8). Daniel was very accommodating, adding a put up bed to a triple room to accommodate the 4 of us in a 'family suit'. This was much appreciated & still gave us plenty of room & an ideal base for a great... More

Thank you for your review. I am pleased we were able to help you to visit on your last minute short break (that ended up a little longer!) by juggling room combinations around to get the 4 of you in; especially when the fog came down on your planned departure day causing disruption to many. Travel insurance for all eventualities... More
