Garret rooms with near vertical stairs. Breakfast had no care to attention of detail or finesse. Worst cooked breakfast for years. Place needs thorough clean and upper rooms barely fit for purpose. Sea view through window that is opaque with damage. We actually moved to a different BnB as it was so poor.

This is not a grand hotel but good old fashioned hospitality with charming Steve and chatty Kelly at the helm. A great location on a quiet lane by a pale beach and undergrowth overlooking the harbour across the bay. Think misty and romantic when the sun is not shining in a peaceful location a short walk away from the main street and ferries. Perfect as a base to visit other islands and for walks around St Mary's. We visited in June 2018.

Steve is a great host, friendly and informative. Beachfield House has beautiful views over the sea, and is within easy walking distance of Hugh Town. From there we in fact walked all over St Mary's. The breakfast is great too!

View from room overlooked beach and Hugh Town. Lovely to sit out the front in the evening sun. We were well looked after by Steve and Kelly. Super breakfasts. Room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Recommend.

As always over these many years, a wonderful warm welcome from Steve and the usual individual, high-decibel attention from the omnipresent Kelly. Both do their very best to ensure that every guest gets the most out of their stay.
