Got off ferry campsite owners waiting to take your bags up to the site great idea. Owners and staff very welcoming. Large campsite with plenty of space. The toilet blocks very clean and showers good. The site in perfect location 5 min walk in town. We had great time at this site and will use again

When we arrived to be greeted by Barbara the owner. She was very welcoming and advised us that there was a party of school children and also scouts. She said we would probably be better camping in another field away from them. Thanks Barbara we appreciated this. We pitched at the side of the shower block/kitchen in the (large tent... More

Me and my mother stayed in one of the ready tents at garrison campsite. The tent was nice and spacious, although it had one or two leaks. The actual campsite is nice, although there was only one set of toilets open of which were quite a walk from our tent, and I would say the layout of the ready tents... More

1 bed cottage. Fab for us and our 18 month daughter. We arrived after walking up the hill of the garrison to find our luggage already delivered. We are in an ideal location just across the football field from a gigantic play pirate ship and play park. Perfect for 1 - 14 year olds. We found fresh bath towels in... More

This campsite is very fortunate for its location. It doesn't particularly have splendid views but is close to Hugh Town and a good base for both exploring St Mary's and the other islands. It has many hedges which break up the fields well and provide shelter and privacy. We booked late and this was the only campsite that was available... More

Beautiful campsite in a perfect location! Yes, it is on top of a hill- clue is in the name there really- it was a garrison, so it has a commanding view over the island and surrounding waters, which is amazing, but to get back and forth you have a steep hill to walk up. An issue if you are with... More

This site is great. The pitches are big, the site is sheltered and the pull up from the town will keep you fit. The owners will look after you well. There is a lot of focus on the loo's in these reviews. They are old and basic but generally they are fine if kept clean. Thanks Garrison gang. See you... More

Camped here in August for a week. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The shop stocks everything you could want at reasonable prices - no faults here. Downside for us was that you had to pay for everything, nothing but your pitch is included in the price - even showers which were £1 for 5 minutes. Internet, phone charging, hairdryer... More

The shower block has been basic functional and clean for years, Now they ar frankly disgusting. I mean I have low standards, my wife will tell you that, I am a pretty grubby person but these are just make your skin crawl gross and is is so sad...if they employed someone who actually bothered to clean them is would be... This is a lovely campsite we booked with electric and we got a good sized pitch. The campsite were brilliant picking all our stuff up from the boat. We had one case go missing and they had located it and brought it to our tent within an hour. The same applied on the journey back when they delivered it all... More
