Jacqui and David are fine hosts. I have stayed here numerous times and have never been disappointed. This year was slightly different due to Covid-19 restrictions. Jacqui and David coped admirably with these complications, putting in place several measures to keep their guests (and themselves) as safe as possible. At no point was I unhappy with their regime (and as an ex laboratory manager, believe me I looked closely!). Everyone felt very safe in the capable hands of our hosts. The breakfasts are brilliant and the evening meals are extremely tasty. I will be back!

Thank you very much for your excellent review. We're always very pleased to see you and glad that you approve of the Covid-19 related safety measures that we have implemented at Wingletang Guest House. Of course, nothing is certain under the current circumstances, but we're pleased that you and everyone else felt safe during your stay with us. We're delighted that you enjoyed your cooked breakfasts and the evening meals, and we look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to the Isles of Scilly. Thank you for an excellent review. We're very pleased that you enjoyed 'very good breakfasts' and 'lovely evening meals' during your stay with us. Wingletang Guest House is, as you also mention, in a good location, overlooking the park and within easy level walking distance of all amenities in Hugh Town, including daily boat trips from the harbour; two sandy beaches, Porthcressa beach and Town beach, are both within just a minute's walk from the house. Thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again, with thanks for a great review.

We have just had our fourth stay at this most friendly and welcoming guest house. Originally due to visit in April for the Walk Scilly Festival, we postponed our trip until September after the festival was cancelled. Despite the required anti-COVID steps in place at Wingletang (which are implemented and carried out conscientiously by Jacqui and David) and indeed elsewhere, they do not get in the way of having a thoroughly enjoyable time. The breakfasts are very good as are the evening meals. For longer stays, the system of offering dinners 4 nights a week works really well as it allows some variety when eating out, but also makes it easier to find somewhere else which might be difficult if it was necessary to find other restaurants etc for, say, 7 or 14 days. Wingletang is comfortable, friendly and very good value for money and was a central part in this being probably our best ever visit to Scilly. Why stay anywhere else?

It was lovely to see you both again and thankyou so much for a fantastic review. We're delighted that you enjoyed your best ever visit to the Isles of Scilly and thank you for your lovely comment about Wingletang Guest House being a central part of this. We're still very busy at this stage of the season with cooking breakfasts and evening meals, which all seem to be greatly appreciated. Most people, like yourselves, enjoy the combination of being able to venture out on some evenings, but also with everything taken care of on the other evenings when dinners are served at Wingletang. We're really pleased this arrangement worked well for you on this holiday. Many thanks again for an excellent review, with our best wishes.

My parents have stayed at Wingletang regularly: this year, my daughter and I visited with my mum for the first time. I can see why so many guests are regulars, the care Jacqui and David take of their guests is excellent. It's spotlessly clean and runs like clockwork. The COVID measures couldn't be faulted, we all felt very safe. Nothing fancy, just good, comfortable facilities and an attentive, friendly welcome. Very well located also. I'm sure we will be back as another generation has been introduced!

Thank you for your superb review. We have very much enjoyed seeing your parents over the years and they have always been popular with other guests at Wingletang. It was also lovely to meet you and your daughter accompanying your mum this year and we're really pleased that you all enjoyed your stay with us. We're glad that you appreciated the measures we're taking in trying to avoid the potential risks of Covid-19, although no confirmed cases of such while you were here, it has been officially announced since that there are now cases of Covid-19 on the islands. The steps we are taking to mitigate the transmission of any viruses now become even more crucial, but of course, nothing is for sure during these uncertain times. It is fantastic that several generations of your family are now acquainted with Wingletang Guest House and we hope that you all share many enjoyable memories of your time spent here on the Isles of Scilly. Once again, thank you so much for your review and lovely comments, with very best wishes to all the family.
