When I first visited Sam was still young and Tim ran the farm, now Sam is much older and has obviously taken over from Dad. Some families have been coming here for generations, came as kids now bring their own, and some are well known both to Sam/Tim and other campers. I stayed in the Hell Weathers B&B to one... More

We enjoyed three nights camping and loved being so close to the sea. The other campers were really friendly and the campsite had a great atmosphere. Lots of the campers are long term return buisness. We loved the ice cream, yoghurt, milk from the shop and Sam made us very welcome. We will be back - thank you.

Just back from a weeks camping. Cant recommend this campsite enough. The views are stunning and we camped right besides the beach. Didn't miss electric hook at all. Ice blocks are available from the shop at 20p per time, baked potatoes to order at £1.50 each. Ice cream is to die for as is the milk and clotted cream. I... More

Stayed on this campsite for the first time for two weeks in late June. The location of troy town campsite couldn't be better, right next to the beach! Showers, charging points and toilets were all fine as long as you don't mind 3 minute showers! We researched all the other campsites on the other islands however Troytown seemed to fit... More

Last time I stayed at Troytown, we were in The Cottage and loved it. This time we were in The Croft, again, we loved it. The property is very clean and very comfortable, we were immediately at home. The cream tea provided on arrival was very welcome and we appreciated all the information provided. Our hosts met us on arrival... More

A breathtaking campsite, that makes a truly special stay. The farm has lovely produce, and great facilities. The hosts are super helpful & friendly, and nothing it too much trouble. We loved it - even with a few soggy days it didn't dampen our love for the place. We will be back.

This place has everything you'd want. It's right by the sea (I even saw a seal swimming just offshore (at least, I think I did)) so you can always hear the waves and it's quite exposed so you feel like you're 'really' camping. But it also has nice facilities, a shop where you can buy delicious ice cream, and a... More

It's a lovely campsite with great views out to sea. Perhaps prone to the odd sea breeze, but you can't beat the location and the sunsets from your tent! Lovely family who owned the farm, and very small shop on site to sell the bare essentials - including the homemade icecream, which I failed to get round to trying unfortunately.... More

Just got back from 9 days at Troytown. Our first visit to Scilly. Fabulous campsite with wonderful hosts and incredible views. If you were going to run a campsite, this is how to run it ! Thank you to Tim, Sam and Tom for making our stay so special. Nothing was too much trouble. Took our trailer and the jockey... More

Our first visit to the Scillies - what a treat. It is difficult to imagine a more perfect campsite - just as other reviewers describe. The location, the facilities, the warm welcome from Sam and the friendliness of folk in the farm shop. Special little things to remember too - sharing breakfast with song thrushes, sparrows and blackbirds; wild flowers... More
