The whole experience was really excellent - welcome, service, facilities, the room, the location, the buildings, the massage, facial and manicure and the FOOD was superb. I really enjoyed chilling out - never left the island, walked, rested, ate, and generally relaxed. Beautiful artworks in all areas create a terrific atmosphere. Outdoor pool very pleasant indeed The staff and Manager... More

Third visit to this amazing amazing amazing place. The food was some of the best I have eaten in a UK hotel. The staff had a relaxed enthusiasm and were keen to help with anything. The rooms have been tarted up and are even more lux. Top tip is to nab the sunset deck to drink Gins as the sun... More

Have stayed at hell bay several times before over past decade or so and it has never disappointed but on this occasion it was merely a lunch stop Up to the usual standard and the lightly curried chicken salad was excellent. Chips were very crispy Service was good despite the terrace being full ! I like this place as despite... More

What a fantastic Hotel - the location is idyllic on the beautiful unspoiled Island of Bryher. We stayed in Room 5 with great views out to see and upon arrival were greeted with a glass of Prosecco. Defiantly worth paying the extra to get a sea view as they are stunning. The service throughout the hotel is perfect with the... More

We spent our honeymoon here in 2006 and decided to take a trip down memory lane by having lunch in the hotel as part of a family holiday on Scilly. There really isn't anywhere on earth that could match the location of this hotel. On a sunny day with views of the other islands and the endless horizon tensions melt... More

This is a very special place. I stayed 3 nights with my brother in a ground floor suite, compact but beautifully furnished and kitted out. Spotlessly clean, good toiletries and towels, and a lovely sea view from the terrace. Breakfast was superb - lots of choice, buffet items frequently replenished, staff superb. And the heated outdoor pool was brilliant for... More

I've been lucky enough to stay in some wonderful hotels around the world including five star properties in Asia, the Caribbean and North America. However having stayed at Hell Bay for a week I think this is probably better than them all. The location obviously helps, positioned on the west coast of the beautiful island of Bryher in the Isles... More

Just visited the hotel for lunch. It was extremely busy but the staff were amazing making sure the orders went through smoothly. The menus are varied and the food that we had was excellent. Yes it may have been a bit expensive but we don't mind paying for good quality food. Would like to come back one day and stay... More

An absolutely lovely hotel with beautifully decorated rooms, we had a garden suite with 2 bedrooms and a sitting room which gave us lots of space. The bar area and restaurant are very nicely laid out and decorated, fabulous food with chefs who really know their stuff (really delicious puddings too) and all the staff are very friendly and helpful... On first arriving on admittedly a dull day, I was a little taken aback. The hotels shuttle bus had picked us and our luggage up from the quay all of half a mile away. The entrance porch and doors looked a bit shabby and rather than a hotel there was a collection of wooden buildings and a couple of ex... More

Dear David1309, Thank you for taking the time to review your with us. Our traditional Bryher cottage from the outskirt we do realise do not always look the most attractive but internally are beautifully decorated. Upgrading our bathrooms is an ongoing project. We are aware their standard isn’t always the same as other parts of the hotel. The addition of... More
