Room not made up. Cannot individually control AC. No way to get bottled water or soft drinks. Holes in curtains. Lamps that seem to be 80 years old. Staff seems to be tuned out (can't blame them). Don't believe the photos. This is my first review on any site, but my experience here was so bad, that I needed a catharsis.
Employees in general, but those in the restaurant in particular demonstrated high quality of service being always attentive and very friendly and kind without falling into servility. Regarding the Spa, it is also a very pleasant place to visit as well as the massage we did, which was very relaxing. With regard to the rooms in the main building, this part is the one that we can not value excellently because both the corridors and the rooms should be renovated to avoid, for example, humidity spots on the walls. When entering the room it was incredible hot and it was impossible to lower the thermostat. When calling the Reception desk, they indicated that the only option to control the temperature was to connect or disconnect the heating through a thermal switch inside the closet. The rest of our stay was simply great! If we can, we will repeat for sure!…
We were in this hotel in November 2019. If you need SPA with natural springs - this is one of the best places near Barcelona. SPA is not new, but natural water itself is commendable. Nice pools on fresh air. The restaurant offers breakfasts - as usual, but dinners are outstanding. The metrodotel of the restaurant is very attentive and friendly. Class of restaurant is two levels higher, then class of the hotel itself. Thanks. Good rooms with vintage furniture. We hope, one day management will decide to change an upholstery on upholstered furniture. Room cleaning is excellent. Linen was changed daily. We strongly recommend to pay attention on height differences at the entrance from the street for cars. Our A-class Mercedes has got a scratches and next time I ought to ask passengers go out from the car when we drive in/out the gates. Staff is competent and always ready to help. But we were unpleasantly surprised when my wife and my 10-years son were impolitely and defiantly taken out of the SPA at the time allowed for the children. The SPA manager explained that in addition to the forbidden time, the hotel also has prohibited areas for visiting, which was not indicated on the site when we booked the hotel. It was obvious that the SPA manager drove my son out with pleasure. The child behaved normally and did not give a reason to treat himself like that. She refused to give her name. She does not speak English, so in order to explain, we had to call the manager from the front desk. We do not recommend the hotel for families with children under 14 years old. The hotel impression for us is poisoned.…
I had a three night stay in this fine hotel during September of this year. Although quite a distance from the "sights" of Barcelona it is easily accessible by train. Everything else about the hotel is excellent. I was in a suite which was spacious and comfortable. Staff on reception were welcoming and helpful and the bar staff were the same. I didn't have dinner in the restaurant so can't comment on it but did have a snack in the bar which was well prepared and efficiently served.
This is my fourth time at the hotel, it’s easily accessible from Barcelona by train, and is a great quiet town to switch off for the weekend. I was a bit surprised to see that the hotel hasnt changed at all since i last visited three years ago. The outdoor pool area needs a serious clean... mould on the side of the pool, and not one single working shower- not what you expect for four stars. The rooms are nice, but the walls are stained, really needs a fresh paint job. The thermal spa is also in need of refurbishment, very mouldy in areas, and many things are not working. Staff were friendly and helpful as ever, but please- attention to detail is seriously lacking! But we really enjoyed our weekend.
The room was very spacious and the bathroom as well but you could see that it needs to be taken care more often. We were a couple and we had only 1 shampoo and 1 shower gel in the bathroom, which I have never seen even in low budget hotels. This was surprising. The Spa area was nice, but there were also things not working there. The breakfast was really really good with typical food and cava. The bar was also cute with lots of plants but in the beginning of July was very warm to stay outside even in the late afternoon.
Went for dinner by suggestion of a business friend by June 19th. We were allowed to select table, #4. Ambience: Inside formal & correct, outside nice gardening. Food: As by suggested by the maitre, was well prepared, presented and tastefull. Table service: helpful & very friendly. Pricing: Tempura de verduras 8€/ea, Solomillo ternera amb foie 29€/ea, Tomato Juice 3€. So quite fair on price/quality. Parking: underground, free of charge, very clean. A big plus for the site. Remark: As the Hotel is a Spa Termal a bit of chlorine smell. Will return for sure.
We thank you for four wonderful days at Hotel Blanca Fort. A day with rain when we used the spa indoors. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The kids were also welcome to the spa at Good times. Finished the day by taking a dip outdoors in the rain, the water temp was 34 degrees in the waters. Absolutely amazing. The restaurant served in the best way. We were a company of nine people, two children. Adult menu and children's menu. The flavors and the arrangement of the food, an experience, delight for the belly and also for the eye. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will gladly return here. Last a big thank you to Nuria who was absolutely fantastic with all our questions all our emails around the booking. We who say thank you are the guests who arrived on May 2 Junior Suites 181, 183, 283 and Master Suite no 381 Svensson…
We had a wonderful and relaxing a weekend in the hotel and the spa. We really enjoyed the Roman Frigidarium and Caldarium, as well as the outside climatised pool. Dinner's menu was as good as expected and the bar had a live piano show.
I had a wonderful time at this hotel spa. It was far cheaper to visit than to attend one in the UK. They were very helpful and the food was AMAZING! I visited with my niece for a quick break and the thermal waters was refreshing together with the treatments we had. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a genuine spa and a nice place to stay. I give 5/5.
