We have traveled Europe in the past and have moved locations every few days. It can get tiresome living out of a suitcase, so this time we decided to find a Villa where we could unpack our things and stay for the entire trip. The Villa was central to the areas we wanted to see, and and we did day... More

We've just returned from a wonderful week at Ventena Vecchia . The view's of the tuscan mountains are simply stunning .The apartments are all styled individually with love and attention and the kitchenettes are very well equipped (we stayed in Papavero). The only thing we could have done with really was a fan at night to help us sleep as... More

The apartment is great, it keeps the authenticity of Tuscany. We were there with our daughter of 9. We enjoyed very much also the pool and the great view. The dinner "in family" organised by the owner, with the other guests, was fantastic, including the desert that came from heaven. Even if we always choose to spend our vacations in... More

It is true ! I think that Ventena Vecchia is the best idea of accommodation when you decide to see Tuscany. Location is great - you can go everywhere in Chianti region in maximum 1 and a half hours drive. The great cities of Florence, Sienna and Pisa are not so far as well. Accommodation is very nice - the... More

We stayed at Ventena Vecchia (La Ginestra apartment) for two weeks and it was worth every penny. The owners (Olaf and Siggi) are incredibly friendly and have a great sense of humour. The villas are a great base for exploring the wider region – as they’re located centrally within Tuscany, Florence is only 40 minutes by train and Siena is... More

We really enjoyed our vacation at Ventena Vecchia and can definitely recommend it to anyone. Great setting and wonderful location. Perfect for exploring the beautiful Tuscany and very close to Siena (our favourite city in Tuscany). The apartments are very well furnished and nicely decorated. But the best are the hosts, that really make you feel "at home". Special thanks... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Ventena Vecchia. The appartments are situated in a large well renovated countryhouse on the top of a hill. Ziggi and Olaf are very enthousiastic hosts and we had a great meal with them and the other guests prepared by a local cook from the village. The surroudings are beautiful and trips to Pisa, Florence,... More

Ideal romantic retreat with perfect connections to get to know Tuscan cities and essential vineyards by car. We could have stayed so many weeks longer, life just seems to take a different pace at the Ventena Vecchia! Ventena Vecchia is an enchanting experience that takes one away from the stresses of everyday life. It is a wonderful getaway nestled in the side of the breathtaking olive groves of Tuscany. From the second we pulled through the gate, we knew we had arrived at a special place. When we entered our tastefully decorated apartment, we were simply charmed.... More

From the moment we arrived in November, we loved this place and the hosts. The pictures on the website of Ventena Vecchia did not do it justice. All was better, we were more than pleasantly surprised. We only had one week in November to stay in tuscany, and we could have easily spent a week exploring. Looking back on our... More

“Oleandro is bwell equipped and has the benefit of a secluded patio area for eating out. It loses the sun in the afternoon and the views are limited, now that the vegetation has grown up, but you do get the tweeting of birds and the chirping of crickets!”

“We had the Limonaia appartment, which is great. It is all same level floor, with a bedroom (that you have to take two steps down), a bathroom and a mainroom which functions as a dining, a livingroom and open kitchen. The terras is just on the right side of the appartment, which is nice and private on the side. The rooms were clean and also complete. There was a nice couch to sit etc... However, in from of the entrance is the terrasses of three other appartments. We didn't have a problem with that, but if you have neighbours who like to stay out late on their terras drinking wine, this could be an issue, because one of the terrasses is located in front of the bedroom.”

“I loved the rooms facing the pool. It provided great views of the area. We stayed on the bottom floor, and had no issues at all. We were also in the smallest unit, but I felt like we had plenty of room.”
