The hotel really lost of its glam . Last time I was 2014. The staff is not friendly. We didn't get any welcoming cocktail or drink. The pool's sun-beds and furniture are dated. The breakfast is generous but again the staff is waiting to send you to the room immediately when the start picking up the buffet. I ordered espresso to the room decaf and she bought american filtef coffee and didn't want to come back persuading me it is similar to what I wanted. The pillows are very hard and we asked two time for feather ( piumino) pillows. Finally after two attempts they got it and brought them to the room. The prices are ridiculous high compare to these before covid. We were very 'lucky' for a last minute junior suite of course looking toward the street and we suffered an extreme noise not only from the cars but also in the morning when the housekeeping almost ruined the building- that was the sense of the noice they created vacuuming and cleaning . One word - I don't recommend this hotel not fir now with this management!

Hotel's Favorite
Several reviewers have already obviated the location (gorgeous, expansive, unobstructed) and rooms (superb, clean, relaxing). But beyond that, we were so impressed with Francesco, the owner's son, who greeted us by name as we were taken on a tour of the property upon arrival. He chatted with us for a few minutes about our travels, our home in New York, and his life growing up in Anacapri. He seemed extremely genuine when he said to let him know if there's any issue whatsoever or to approach him with any suggestions as to how they can do better. We were only there for a short time, but the entire staff blew us away. My SO ran into Francesco the next day and they chatted at the poolside bar for so long you would think they were old friends. He personally made us drinks and was such a fun energy to be around. What a host! The staff are also deserving of so much praise, and this hotel really dismantles that separation you often feel between guest and staff. It felt like we were part of a larger family. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. The drivers are nothing short of SKILLED. The way they maneuvered those narrow streets was so impressive. I don't know how much they are paid, but give those guys a raise! What a dreamy stay; the breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious- better, in our opinion, than the buffets we had at every other hotel we visited throughout Italy (including Le Sirenuse). Francesco waved us off on our departure, and I would not be surprised if we returned in one month or ten years, with greetings of familiarity from him. This hotel will definitely see us again as recurring guests, as we are already planning our return and my SO has said in no uncertain terms will he entertain staying anywhere else! Thank you guys!!!

Stunning property with panoramic views of the Bay of Napoli and the Mediterranean Sea. The property is surprisingly large for being situated on top of a high cliff in Anacapri and also has its own orchard where they grow produce for their onsite restaurant. Charming, spacious rooms (we stayed in a junior suite). It's rare that a property has both a luxurious hard product and strong soft product in their service staff, but this hotel does both very well. This is the place to stay on Capri.

Went here for my honeymoon with my wife. The service, the views, the food, the rooms and the ambiance were all perfect. A chance to spend time in Capri without having to deal with the craziness of the summer. Really an amazing experience.

The owner Paolo greeted us upon arrival. What a wonderful man. He made us feel so welcome at his most beautiful hotel!! We met his son Francesco who is equally wonderful at breakfast. Everyone here has a smile on their face and helps you with whatever you may need. Our room The Vesuvius Suite was gorgeous. The view spectacular. The pool is stunning - there are 2 infinity pools which connect. The food is also outstanding! Can not rate this Hotel high enough!! Thank you for a beautiful stay!!

We absolutely loved the Caesar Augustus. Since it’s located in Anacapri it’s away from the craziness of Capri town, although this does necessitate a 20-30 euro taxi ride each time you go into Capri (there’s a hotel shuttle for to & from the main marina for when you arrive on the island and later depart). The hotel has a beautiful double infinity pool that is great and quite popular in the summer. The main restaurant is fantastic with spectacular views of the sea—don’t miss the terrace lounge for after-dinner drinks. If you’re considering whether to stay on Capri or just visit for the day, you should definitely spend at least one night because the day-trippers leave around 5:00 or 6:00 which lets the island breathe. We can’t wait to return to the Caesar Augustus—our new favorite hotel!

This is a beautiful luxury hotel if you are heading to Capri. We loved that it is in Anacapri and away from the chaos of Capri. It is a short walk into town for shopping or dinner. The views are some of the best in the world! One issue we found was that the pillows were very hard and we needed to ask for different pillows. We were not sure why they put such hard pillows on the bed in the first place. The concierge team was very helpful in arranging activities (we did a four-hour boat ride which was wonderful) and dinner reservations for us. We had dinner one night at the hotel restaurant at one of the chef's tables and it was an amazing experience with beautiful views. We enjoyed before dinner drinks at the terrace bar overlooking the sea with breathtaking views. The owner greets everyone upon arrival with a personalized touch and seems genuinely interested in making your stay memorable. If you head to the marina or to Capri for the day, beware that the taxi line to return can be very long. The infinity pool is a great way to end the day after a hot day of sightseeing. Definitely the best hotel in Anacapri and away from the chaos of Capri. A truly romantic setting!

This is the best hotel hands down in Anacapri, and possibly on the entire island of Capri! The gorgeous villa feels as though you are a guest in someone's fabulous hillside home. The pool is amazing, the dinner in their restaurant, especially the "treehouse", was a fantastic experience. The gardens, the spa, the views - magnificent! The staff were incredibly helpful and very cheerful, a pleasure to work with! We have stayed three separate times over the last 7 years and we absolutely love it there! Our only complaint is Francesco, the manager and son of the owner. He was not friendly to us on two separate occasions, while we observed him being extremely welcoming and lovely to other guests. We have no idea why this occurred as we were pretty much under the radar and made no complaints or demands of anyone. Other reviews tell of him being perfectly friendly but our experience on this trip was the opposite. Just want to let you know. It probably won't happen to you but he seems to be fickle and we were unfortunately on the receiving end of it for some reason. However, you will LOVE everything about this hotel, I promise! Francesco is a question mark though. Maybe he was having a bad day. Or two? Not sure, but it was too much for us - I never really write reviews but it moved me to write this one.
