Very good hotel in the heart of Anacapri! As soon as we got to the hotel they had upgraded our room. The continental breakfast was fine although they had warm breakfast upon request. The staff was very friendly.
There is nothing unique or great about this hotel; by Capri standards it is average, although the price and the photos make it look like a very special place. Was met by a friendly staff and a welcome drink. They gave us a tiny room, with no room for our luggage, no closet, and a tiny space to hang our clothes. We were very disappointed and complained. The reply was that this was a standard room for the price. When we wanted to use the WIFI, it was practically impossible from the room, they said that perhaps we could use it from the lobby. This was very upsetting because not having Internet access in this day and age is like having no electricity. We paid a lot of money and expected more.
I had a prepaid reservation. When I arrived, the staff took my credit card info for incidentals, of which I used none. When I checked out, they had charged me the full 399 euro rate. They acknowledged the mistake, claimed their credit card system was down, and said I would receive a refund from their corporate office in 20 business days. When that did not happen, I tried several times to get them to resolve the issue. They were polite but basically just gave me an "I'm sorry, there is nothing we can do." Beyond getting stuck for a huge bill, this hotel is not worth that much. It's fine, but not 399 euro. Stay somewhere else that won't victimize tourists.
Fantastic hotel with the friendliest of staff. Hotel is exactly as the photos. Location is in the centre of Anacapri - couldn’t be better Staff were amazing - friendly, accommodating and going above and beyond. Recommended and booked restaurants for us and organised a late check out - thank you! La Gelsomina was the restaurant recommendation and we loved it! Facilities are superb and as you’d expect - amazing pool, great temperature and a well equipped gym to help burn off the pizza! Rooms are spacious very clean and the bed is super comfortable. Very good shower too Couldn’t recommend any more - will be back!
This hotel is centrally located in Anacapri. It's easy to get here by bus or taxi. Walking is definitely out of the question. But as you're getting there, don't forget to take in the stunning views!!! The hotel staff and service were beyond our expectations - complementary welcome drinks as we were checking in. As they were preparing our room, we relaxed out front on their patio and took in the sights. The rooms were adequate and definitely had updated and luxurious facilities. Lots of amenities and so peaceful by the pool. We wanted to check out the local beaches but they were always so overcrowded but this pool and lounging around was the best thing. We actually preferred sunbathing poolside with the lovely pool attendant. She was so nice, charming and helpful. Everything about our experience and this hotel was definitely worth the price and the 5-stars!!! We will definitely be back!…
This hotel was beautiful, the staff was beautiful the surroundings and people were friendly. Love it! I definitely am looking for a way to come back. The scenery was everything. Seeing how the people embrace their culture and were most willing to explain and direct you to must see areas. The Italian breakfasts is outstanding. Lemons, olives, grapes and pomegranates' everywhere, the beautiful sunsets. The hotel décor and drinks were excellent!
There is nothing unique or great about this hotel; by Capri standards it is average, although the price and the photos make it look like a very special place. We reserved months in advance, but when we arrived they gave us a tiny room, with no room for our luggage, no closet, and a tiny space to hang our clothes. We were very disappointed but at first did not complaint because we were on our honeymoon and just wanted to enjoy ourselves. However, when we wanted to use the WIFI, it was practically impossible from the room, they said that perhaps we could use it from the lobby. This was very upsetting because not having Internet access in this day and age is like having no electricity. We paid a lot of money and the least we required was Internet access from our room. All we got was an "I am sorry" from the lady at the front desk. That reponse got me furious and I was prepared to abandon the hotel at that point. Thankfully, a staff member with the name of Francesco happened to overhear the conversation and was able to resolve the situation. This guy was a breath of fresh air: Intelligent, professional, common sense, and solution-oriented. He understood perfectly our request and quickly worked out an upgrade to a much better room, this time with a working WIFI. So, we had a bad experience at the start but Francesco managed to turn it into a positive experience. Otherwise I would have given 1 star. It seems this hotel has the practice of placing a guest in the least attractive room until he/she complains. Many hotels do this, be aware!!…
Long weekend getaway. Spent time in Capri and the Amalfi coast. Island was beautiful. Resort was quaint and quiet. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Location was good. Short walk to main shopping areas and the chair lift to the highest point on the island. Rooms were good size with full bathroom facility. Based upon the location there was not any views from the hotel.
I spent 4 nights at Melia Capri in Anacapri in September 2019. I had been before in Capri, but just for the day some time ago (I was staying at Sorrento then). The hotel is well located, in the Main Street of Anacapri, walking distance from the main sights and restaurants. It is away from the buzz and fuss of Capri, which is accessible easily by bus, taxi or even a walk down (which by the way I did twice). And at night it is a quiet spot. Very good attention from all staff. I do recommend this place. It is a brand new hotel, and the rooms spacious, clean and full of natural light.
My husband and I spent our anniversary trip at this hotel for 3 nights. This hotel is in the best location with beautiful amenities. It has a lovely outdoor cafe and amazing breakfast buffet and the rooms are squeaky clean with stunning modern touches and design. The pool was lovely as was the lobby and front desk - We were greeted with refreshing welcome juices. What I was most impressed with was their customer service. Blown away infact. They are amazingly accommodating and helped my husband and I work out some return details without any issues. They made great restaurant reco's and helped us navigate through Capri. Special shout out to the 2 Fredrica's at the front desk - Above and beyond service - These are types of lovely individuals I would want working at my hotel. They were great! They are assets to this hotel as is the rest of the staff. Everyone was lovely and so helpful. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you Melia Villa Capr - We loved you!!!…
