The hotel used to be a wine cella of the family and Franco (5th generation) renovated it into a beautiful hotel. With the most reasonable price in comparison to Capri, we got a nice room with huge private terrace, great island view and decent home-made meal. The place is close to the bus station to Grotta Azzura, which is one of the best swimming experiences in my life. Ask Franco for recommendations, he will show you the best wait to explore the island.
Beautiful place, amazing garden with many little paths and corners with tables and chairs to be alone, having a glass of wine and/or reading a book or enjoying amazing Ischia or Napoli views. There is also a pool/jacuzzi. The smell of the garden is stunning, specially at night. Hosts are a very nice family, they prepare amazing breakfasts (fruits, eggs, croissants, yoghurt..) and they serve it on your own terrace. They also serve the best home made ravioli ever! Rooms are nice and cosy, clean and spacious. Loved it and would recommend it to everybody.
We stayed with Franco and his kind family at this lovely hotel just for a couple of days last summer and it was a wonderful stay. Franco was very helpful and picked us up by the ferry, helped us plan a boatrip, gave us advices on nice places to see and where to swim. The hotel is like a secret hidden garden , close to the center of Ana Capri , with a wonderful view - you can have your breakfast with fresh fruit from the lush garden at the terrace every morning, From the other terrace you can sit and watch the beautiful sunset, This is a very unique place , in a very good location with lots of hospitality and generosity, I can really recommend it and I wish we could go back and stay longer next time. We stayed at Il Giardino dell’Arte for a week at the end of October, 2019. The staff of the hotel, and particularly Franco, the patriarch of the small albergo, was exceptional and they made our stay memorable. We had a wonderful time and relied on Franco to help make tour arrangements, dinner reservations, and to get us to our ferry timely. It was one of the best stays we’ve had anywhere. The setting of the small hotel is beautiful. The rooms (we were a party of three in two rooms) were comfortable and were tidied every day by the staff. Breakfast on the terrace dining area was fabulous. We even enjoyed a bottle of wine from the hotel on our private terrace. And all of this was at an exceptionally low price. Capri is not an easy place to get around, with the hills and lack of autos, but if you can get beyond that, this island and this hotel may be as close to heaven as you’ll get in this life. Really, I loved our time at Il Giardino dell’Arte and am happy to recommend it to anyone. Thank you Franco and family for one of the best weeks we’ve had anywhere!…
This was my second visit to Il Giardino dell’Arte. My room had its own patio and as clean and comfortable. Franco, the owner, picked us up at the ferry. We had to also take a cab as there were 6 of us and large bags. Our departure was smoother as Franco and his daughter drove both vans to the ferry. The breakfast is included and there are fresh melons, still warm pastries, boiled eggs, yogurt, etc. Franco also gave us a ride to Marina Grande to meet our chartered boat and made dinner arrangements for us. Lovely stay.
