What a fantastic location with amazing sea and harbour views from our top floor studio. Rooms are well maintained and cleaned daily. Stavros is a great host, very friendly and helpful at all times. Location is ideal with just a 5 minute walk down to Agia Effimia village. Loved sitting out on the balcony with morning coffees admiring the views. Will definitely be staying here again 👌🏻

Not sure if we were going as bkd flights cheap in June, so only bkd acomdn 2 days before but had sourced where to go, Wow we were not disappointed with the view out of the bedroom over the harbour!! Cannot fault, just wished we had bkd 2 wks not one for a first fab visit to this island, you will not be disappointed...... will upload some pics

I enjoyed the most wonderful 12 night stay at Ballas Apartments in the pretty village of Agia Efimia at the start of October and would highly recommend. The view across the bay to Ithaca is spectacular. The room was well equipped with a modern shower and cleaned every day and there was always plenty of hot water. Stravros the host was amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him and he went out of his way to facilitate my needs including meeting my late flight and taking me to the bus in Sami on my last day. He also gave me free access to his bicycle which allowed me to easily visit the remote and beautiful nearby beaches and the Paradise Beach Restaurant where I ate every night. This accommodation represents excellent value for money and I really can’t praise it highly enough. Thank you Stavros for all your kindness and hospitality I’m . I will be back.…

We arrived two days late as we had missed our flight. Emailing the apartments to let them know we would be delayed, they were very sad and offered to have us for extra days! When we arrived, Stavros greeted us and showed us the gardens (gorgeous) before taking us to our room. We had a room-only mountain view room. It appeared to be exactly the same as a normal self-catered room, but cheaper through the company we booked with for some reason. The balcony view was ok, but mostly obscured by the sunshade. We didn't mind, as it was really quiet, and nice to have a private space. The bathroom was a bit tired but perfectly functional, with an excellent shower and good towels. The bed was really comfortable. Stavros offered to move is part way through the holiday to a sea view room, which was lovely of him. We had the ground floor room, which was enormous and opened out onto the lovely garden. Beware cute but annoying kitten who had to be forcibly removed from our room and breakfast most days! Excellent value and service. Really beautiful location to walk into town. Free parking was easy to use. Good WiFi too. I can see why it is so highly rated. Well done to the team!…

My sister and I recently stayed 10 days at Ballas Apartments for the 2nd time. What a wonderful place! Our studio room with balcony overlooking the gorgeous Agia Efimia bay was comfortable, clean, serviced daily, good wi fi and A/C and the view just makes it so very special. The patio area below is delightful and peaceful and it's wonderful being able to swim either just below the apartments or, for us the best, off the little cove just a few minutes walk away down the path alongside the cemetery. There is plenty of easy parking. We have stayed in Agia Efimia numerous times and just love the laid back charm of the place - not 'resorty' at all, small but plenty going on to watch, experience and enjoy and ideally placed for exploring the beautiful island. Thank you to Stavros, a charming and attentive host, for helping to make our stay so great. We will most certainly be returning!…

What a great experience we have just had. We had a sea view room,sunrise over Ithica to the vista of Aghia Efimia harbour, all types of craft coming and going 24/7. Relax in the shade of the beautiful garden/patio area or sunbath and swim in the sea. Just a short walk around to Coffee shops, Taverna's Super markets etc.Then to top it all you have a wonderful family concerned you are having a great time and looking after you. Stavros you are a star.

My partner and I have just left Ballas apartments and couldn’t recommend it enough. Stavros is so very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean, the bed is huge and very comfy with good bedding. Rooms cleaned daily, fresh towels and tea and coffee. The showers are powerful. Greta WiFi. Lovely terrace where you can read and sit in the sun and get down to the sea if you’d like. So peaceful. Incredible views. An easy 5 minute walk to Agia, which has plenty of places to eat. We used the sea kayaks which were great. I really couldn’t recommend the place enough. Thank you so so much. .... Agia is a Great location. Lovely little beaches. Quite central to get around. We’d really recommend Assos and fiskardo. In Agia you must visit pergola restaurant .... away from the waterfront but hands down the best food in Agia. We really hope to come back again. What can I say other than it was love at first sight upon our first arrival at Ballas Apartments as we opened the doors of our bedroom to the breathtaking panoramic view in front of us and the bougainvillea adorned balcony. That was in 2015 and we’ve been back each year since. The view from the sea facing studios over Agia Efimia harbour across to Ithaca and round to Sami is one of the best on the island and watching the sunrise on the balcony is a magical experience. The rooms are simply furnished but there is everything you need - complimentary air conditioning, hairdryer, toiletries, a small kitchen area with fridge, hob, kettle, utensils etc - enough to prepare breakfast and a light lunch or supper. The Apartments are exceptionally clean and well maintained and the studios are cleaned daily and bedding/towels changed regularly. The location is just perfect - a pleasant 5 minute walk into the village where there are a dozen or so excellent tavernas and a few bars and cafes, small supermarkets, fantastic bakeries, launderette, hair salon, car hire, gift shops and boat hire. Agia Efimia is a most charming, laid back and welcoming little village, and has some beautiful pebbly beaches past the harbour and also in the opposite direction towards Sami. The terraced garden is full of beautiful plants and is a peaceful area to relax with a book in the shade or sunbathe with great views. There are steps leading from the terrace to a slabbed rocky area and the sea. The hospitality, kindness and thoughtfulness of the owner Stavros is second to none who is always on site to have a friendly chat or help guests with any questions or problems they might have. Ballas Apartments is a truly special place and we feel so lucky to have discovered it.…

Just returned from Ballas apartment few days ago. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the owner, Stavros. Great guy with big sense of humour. Showed us few apartments to choose from. We went for Apt No 8 on 2nd floor. Had 3 small bottles of local wine and small box of Bakalavas...great touch. Room was with beautiful sea view and only 5 minutes walk to village sq. Kitchen area had fridge, kettle, toaster & cups, plates and cutlery (normal kitchen stuff)...all that be needed to cook. Room.. bed & pillows were clean and comfortable. Shower/toilet room...very clean with fresh towels and small bottles of shower gel & conditioner. Balcony...2 chairs and table (smoking allowed) and the view? one has to be there to and experience in person specially the sun rise. Rooms & shower cleaned daily & Towels changed every 2 days and bed sheets changed every 4 days. Lots of parking space. Stavros is very friendly and helpful owner, always willing to offer advice where to go, what to see, where to eat. This guy knows the island in depth. Stayed here 4 nights but wish had stayed longer. Thanks to all the locals, specially to Ballas owner Stavros and the girls at Spathis Art for making this a memorable short visit. Definitely going back May 2019 - same apartment Don't miss 1. Spathis Art (Pastry Shop) in the village Sq, friendliest service with smile, best Ice cream and yummy baklavas. 2. Taverna To Perasma...Best local food served here with complimentary desert & after dinner drink Ouzo. Oh and great friendly staff (specially Angelo & his brother babais) 3. Giorgos Taverna near Myrtos Beach. The lady who serves is so friendly and always smiling and helpful with what one should visit/see while in the area. First time I tried Greek Breakfast...was so good and big portion I did not need lunch. Food is fresh and great taste. Views from the Taverna out to the sea is just amazing. Great clean friendly gem to sit, have bite or coffee or drink.…
