I was dubious as to whether the numerous excellent reviews were too good to be true but we genuinely couldn’t find anything of significance to complain about! Catherine and her team were absolutely incredible and being such a small boutique hotel it meant they were all very personable. Catherine arranged our car hire, spent lots of time with us going over a map of the island and where we should visit, and she made my partners birthday really special with some lovely kind touches - thank you so much Catherine. We’d also like to give a special mention to Natalie who served us every morning at breakfast - she is so kind and helpful and remembered our preferences for coffee and juice each morning! The breakfasts were immense! I absolutely recommend taking the bed and breakfast option… we barely needed lunches as the epic breakfasts kept us going all day! We were very lucky to go just as life was beginning to return to some form of normal but when it was still very quiet… we felt bad for their livelihoods but it was great for us as tourists as everywhere was so peaceful, beaches were quiet and we never had a problem getting a table in restaurants. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the port where there are a number of lovely restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets. There’s little pebble alcoves along the coastline just outside the hotel which are lovely for a change from sitting around the pool. Take sea shoes and snorkels. We never shared the pool area with more than 3 other couples - plenty of comfy sun beds, really clean and a stunning view across the sea from the hillside location. All the rooms had a beautiful view to wake up to and the electric curtains that you can open from bed were a nice touch! The water pressure was brilliant - so much so that when we returned home to the uk I thought there was something wrong with our shower as I’d got so used to the power of theirs!! The rooms are huge and we loved having the sofa area to relax in which you don’t often get. The wifi was ok… I had to log on to work for 1 or 2 hours most days and only had drop outs a couple of times… on those instances I was able to use my phone data instead as had reasonable signal (on 3 mobile) and thankfully this was before EU roaming charges come back into play for us UK folk! If it’s your thing, the gym facilities are pretty poor and I think it’s cheeky and unnecessary to charge €5 to use it. We instead got our exercise in with long hikes and swimming. Also, they really need to put hooks on the bathroom doors for your towels and robes, and some trouser hangers in the wardrobes, but that’s about all I can pick at! Thank you Odyssey team!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the Odyssey Hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the view from all rooms was amazing. It was however the staff who made our stay perfect, they were so lovely and could not do enough for us. Food was delicious, my only very small comment is that it would be nice to have some lighter choices at breakfast. The pool area was excellent and I enjoyed relaxing by the pool with the amazing sea view.

We’ve just got home from 9 days in the amazing Odyssey for our honeymoon. We’ve been a fair few times now but every time it gets better and better. The Odyssey team are beyond fantastic… there are no words to fully describe how warm, kind and wonderful they are. It’s like coming back to family! The food, atmosphere, rooms, cocktails, pool, views…(the list goes on and on) are all superb. It really is a heaven on Earth. Thank you so much to everyone who made our trip so special. See you again soon! Katie and Ben

We return to this wonderful hotel every year and this year seemed even more special - if that's possible. Catherine, Gerry, Aristos and Natalie feel like family now and Marios was a great addition to the team this year. Thank you for making our much needed holiday so special. Agia Efimia is our favourite place on the island and has great tavernas, bars, small supermarkets and shops. Small, friendly and completely safe and the perfect base to easily reach all parts of the island to experience beautiful beaches and breathtaking scenery. The rooms are large and all with gorgeous sea views and the beds are super comfy. Delicious food and all served by Gerry and his team so professionally and always with a smile. Thank you once again Odyssey, we love you all and cannot wait to see you again in 2022.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said! Our first time to Kefalonia, but it certainly won’t be our last and we will undoubtedly stay here on our next visit. A lovely hotel with a lovely ‘team’ of people working there..accommodating, friendly and professional. The hotel is immaculately clean throughout, inside and out. The rooms all have stunning views and are large and spacious with plenty of storage, Lovely food with some gorgeous desserts! Perfectly located, a short walk takes you into Agia Effimia village, which has a small number of restaurants/bars. We would highly recommend this delightful hotel.
