First impression - nice and tidy place. Just after 10 min all just got from bad to worse. Owner is stressed, talking poor english, asks for 3,5 Eur and then says that air conditioning is extra for 10 Eur/day (we had 2 bedroom apartment). We took it because it was 32 degrees outside and we have 3 kids. Air conditioning is loud so that you wake up during the night and it is situated just above you're head. No conditioning in the kitchen. Our baby bed was also not in the room at the arrival, had to ask for that, owner brougt a bed but without a mattress, just with a folded blanket as a mattress. Kitchen was small, but the hot plate was even smaller. You can't put pan and a pot on the same time, no place for that. The most terrible thing is that during a siesta we woke up because the owner was yelling at someone. At first in greek, but then there words like "get out" and "bastard". We heard kids crying and mother yelling back. Don't know what was that all about, but we felt really bad as guests in such a nervous and aggressive place. If i read the rewiev from 2nd August wright, he was yelling at guests! Just crazy, never seen or heard something like that. A day before checking out, i asked the owner is it possible to stay for extra Eur in the room till 15:30, because then is our Transfer to Airport (Check out in Greece is normaly 11:00). The answer to that was "NO". Without checking if somebody is arriving, just "NO!". We spent the time from 11:00 to 15:30 mostly at the beach. When we picked up our luggage and left the place, we saw that the room, at least kitchen was still not cleaned. Why such a strict "NO"? Cleaning was just 2 times during the 7 day stay. So if you make some seafood like schrimp and baby has a diper full, you need to take the garbage somewhere yourself, otherwise in such a heat the place smells. Did not buy anything to eat or drink at the place cause it was just too expensive. If possible look for another place to stay, maybe with an owner who likes what he does... P.S. Probably the owner is going to yell at somebody when he reads this comment..…
For those who are ready to explore the island and will not stay in all inclusive hotels with bunch of non-local people is this place very relaxing. Its a clean and simple facility close to largest beach on Rhodos. Almost same distance to Lindos and Rhodos city. We like to windsurf and kids will try it so next time we go to aegean sea. Kalimera olimera :-)
We’ve just come back from a 10 night stay, such a lovely place away from everything. The apartments are set in beautifully kept gardens, we stayed in a 2 bed apt at the back away from the pool and it was so peaceful, it had a sea and mountain view. The wi-fi signal didn’t reach this far but we weren’t fussed and our teenage daughter was more than happy to sit by the pool if she wanted to use it. The owners are friendly, extremely helpful and hospitable, anything you need car hire, taxis they are more than happy to help out. They even gave my husband a lift into Afandou so he could go to the cash machine. At first glance they can appear glum/grumpy but get to know them and they’re lovely people...’Mama Martha’ gave us all flowers picked from her garden one morning at breakfast. Kolympia is certainly the place to visit for meals out as there is very little in Afandou, it’s a 25-30 min walk, taxis can be expensive so we hired a car for a few days.…
Yeah really grumpy owners. Only had breakfast once, because it was just bread with ham and cheese slices. The toilet never worked, though they said theyd fixed it, no shower curtain. Just in the middle of nowhere with couple of expensive restaurants nearish. Would not go back if offered for free. Really the hole country has gone down with service and how much more they keep charging tourists.
We were here with friends! Rooms were clean and comfortable-we got room by the pool-it was very lovely to chill at the balcony and by the pool! If you want to make your own dinner-there's all you need to do that! Also - try food there - it was tasty- we tried chicken and greek salad - yumm, very good! There's mini market about 3-5 minutes from apartments. If your looking for quiet and relaxing stay for vacation - this is the place :) It was our first trip and we all are glad, that we chose this place:)
Very grumpy owners. Not even a smile, hello or goodbye. They shouldn't do this work. Unbelievable. Appartement is not that clean. Swimming before 9.30 is not allowed. You need a car. The Never again!!
Terrible.... stuff very unfriendly... always in no mood...... bugs inside room.... also a lot of ants..... the location bad.... just 3-4 restraunts around and 2 shops thats all.... Air conditining for extra pay 5e/per day..... breakfeast awfull.... every morning the same for 7 days 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ and when they make breakfeast, there is absolutely no hygiene... the guy but small cake...and rubissh which felt off he was eating 🤮🤮🤮 and proceeded to make breakfeast..... and the woman was clean the floor... and then , was making thoast 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
This apartment complex is stunning. The pool is nice and the owners are friendly despite our lack of communication and language barrier. The only problem with this place is it’s near nothing. There are two fish restaurants and a little shop. Very close to the beach is you don’t mind a walk. But there are very little transport links and calling a taxi is probably your best bet for getting anywhere with other food options that aren’t from the sea.
This property is located not so far from the beach and local mini market. The apartments are clean and comfy, the pool is looked after. You can have a snack of some precooked food. Everything there is OK, but I wish the owners to smile more.
If you know that you want a comfortable and clean room, a peaceful evening, the opportunity to cook yourself if necessary (or eat in the cafe by the pool), these apartments are for you. Our room also had a hairdryer, wifi, kitchen utensils, only you might want - shower gel and large teacups. I do not believe that there will be a green garden in September, and we will have breakfast on the terrace next to the fantastically fragrant bush! For other amenities - a good minimarket is 100 m away, a supermarket is a half-hour walk away. To the public bus -10 minutes walk (bus list you can find at reception, on the Internet and also at the bus stop), we did not rent the car. There are also two restaurants at the beach. I'd definitely recommend visiting the hospitable Shark Fish Restourant and have delicious lunch or a romantic dinner on the seafront, or just a refreshing drink.…
