Having read previous reviews I can only comment on our experience. I would have given 5 stars except for two things, 1. The lack of entertainment (there was a sax and trumpet player one night and background music every other). We personally felt it would have been nice for some Greek music and entertainment). 2. The food although really nice and varied, wasn't always hot, but this is difficult with so many to feed during a long breakfast/dinner timetable - tip, wait until the waitresses refill the food trays! Besides this, we had no complaints about this hotel and had a wonderful time. Reading previous reviews, I would comment that we were never ignored by the staff/waitresses, on the contrary they were most attentive, as soon as you finished your meal the waitresses were there clearing the plates. I want to particularly mention Mira, who served us most of the time, she was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Not sure about the drinks prices being double the usual price, as we found the prices the same wherever we went on the island, around 3.50 to 4 euros, which isn't much different to the UK, taking into account the exchange rate. As for the long walk to civilisation, we knew this before we booked as we did our research. We wanted a quiet resort where we could walk and that's what it is! If research is done, people know what they are going to get. As far as the food being the same, I strongly disagree. There was such a varied buffet selection. We were there for 10 days and you could eat differently most days. Although the breakfast selection was mostly the same, it was a really wide selection anyway. The 4 euros a night room tax is also mentioned before you book (isn't this the same all over Greece)? We never had to wait for our cases to be taken to the room. As soon as we booked in, the receptionist called the porter, who took us and the cases to our room on his buggy, and even took them up to our first floor room. You are told on the hotel website before you book that kettles are available on request, so I wasn't surprised there wasn't one in the room (we took a travel kettle) We found all staff to be friendly, including the German and the Greek lady on reception, and the lady cooking the omelettes etc at breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony. Nice bathroom and comfy bed too. The hotel was nicely decorated. The pool was good, and not overly busy. The pool bar was staffed by very friendly ladies, and the club sandwiches they serve are a must! It was a very short walk to the beach of sand and shingle. Sun loungers/parasols were 10 to 12 Euros for the day, which is slightly expensive. We fell in love with the bar by the beach, Sundalia By The Beach, it was lovely. All in all, a great holiday, but remember, as here, everything has gone up in price, but considering there has been a pandemic, they have to recoup their losses as best they can.…
Meals average, staff on the whole attentive some good some ignored us completely. Entertainment once a week by rather tuneless trumpet and sax player. Aircon in reception off and sweltering - drinks around double the market prices. A 25 min walk to any civilisation 2 x expensive bars locally so ideal if you want to burn by the pool are tea total and like eating the same food every day. Glass partition cracked on balcony large window in restaurant also cracked and damaged broken door in restaurant staff lifted it off the hinges at meal times. Bring a book hire a car and make sure you remember the Greek 4 euro / day room tax
My husband and l our first bad experience we are both in our 70 they could not find anyone to take our cases to the room so we had to drag them round to look for our room we was satisfied with the room when we got there on Wednesday 29 June then on the first ov July we came back to our room round about 5 late afternoon the bed wasn't made just sheets folded upwe phoned reception to ask for bed to be .made they told us nobody was available so we made our own bed this carried on for 4 days making our own bed reception excuse was we will talk to the cleaner finally My husband whent to reception and got it sorted after 4 days to days later the air con went off so we didn't sleep that night because no one available until next morning following night it happened again so my husband at 12 30 a m when to reception there was one man there but he said we would have to wait till following .morning mind you this man was also the waitre at evening meal we demanded he came to the room he came at 2 55 he got it working for us the following evening at 6 my husband wonted a shower no towels. So we had to phone again my husband whent to reception the following day and made appointment to see the manager the following morning he was told everything was sorted out by reception but it took 5 days he never got to see the manager it was 31 c in the dining room with no air con we lost count how .any times we had to wave flys from the food a d we wasn't on our own one ..morning my husband asked for 2 fried eggs but she had to throw them away because fly laned on them over all our experience was a absolute disaster the lady in reception in the morning and lady in the evening where no hp at all over all our 14 day holiday was a total disaster …
My brother is staying there for one week during his birthday. i just wanted to give him a surprise, just contacted the team to arrange it, simply i payed the amount we agreed in advance, they made an incredible surprise for him, everyone are satisfied, staff was fantastic and we got the video as promised
We spent a week here at the beginning of May. 2022. Staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to help. So attentive and polite. It is slightly out the way, so quiet. Pools lovely but cool.love the cats! Adorable! The food in the evening is varied amd tasty although the breakfasts were the same nearly every day. It was super quiet the 1st few days and the wind was out bur after that the sun was out every day and was the perfect summer vacation. Although there's a kids pool and a small play set there didn't seem to be much for kids, and there.werent many kids there till the laat day, which was ideal for us really. The rooms were gorgeous with faux 4 poster beds a good size bathroom and living room with dining table and leather sofa, 2 balconies and we were situated on the ground floor. I cant reccomend the place more, and the staff need a raise!…
Great hotel. Nice and quiet at night to relax. Food is plentiful and great selection. Staff are so nice and warm. Highly recommended. The location is great for all types of holiday experience. Beach is huge and relaxing.
Firstly it has been advertised as a family friendly hotel, however its not, far from it. I noticed there's no coffee maker as advertised or iron, no kettle or cups, just one bottle of water with 4 paper cups, therefore there is no facilities to make kids milk. The fridge in the room didn't work correctly and was extremely hot on the outside. The main (and only lamp in the room didn't work). Apparently the hotel has wi-fi, unfortunately it doesn't reach my room/suite. There were two TV's, the small 20 inch screen tv worked, however the slightly larger one had no remote control, so we never got to use it. A shelf in the bedroom wardrobe had collapsed, it looks as if it had been repaired before but not with the correct fittings. The Room/suite was advertised as having a sea view, if you stick your head out off the balcony balustrade and look right you can see the sea, otherwise all you see is bushes and dusty hills. Its advertised as having 3 pools, but you will only be allowed to use one. Apparently there is entertainment at this hotel or it is advertised as such, I never saw any. My air conditioning was faulty too, it kept turning off and never really got cold, outside the day temperature was hitting 33 degrees centigrade my room was hot. I also found cockroaches in the room, however by this point I wasn't surprised. I reported these issues to the girl at reception (this is apparently a 5 star hotel), she said she was only a trainee and there was no one else who could help, there's just her, till tomorrow and I would be contacted. Tomorrow came but nobody contacted me, nobody fixed any of the issues, nobody apologised, or even tried to make fake promises, absolutely heard nothing from anyone. So I contacted the travel agent Loveholidays and told them I need a refund for the rest of my stay, because this is clearly not a 5 star hotel and I am having a catalogue of issues which no one is dealing with, they arranged a refund, they said they estimate I will get back £930, (I had paid £1,275) and that I should go ahead and book my new hotel, if I was happy to proceed, so I book a new hotel. However later on that day once I had booked another hotel, Loveholidays emailed to say I would only get back £758. So staying at this rubbish hotel in their rubbish room and ruining my holiday cost me approximately £500 for two nights, I feel robbed. Its put me off ever going to Greece again or ever booking through Loveholidays. …
Everything you want from a quiet vacation can be found here. The long beach without the crowds of tourists is only 20 meters away. If you want to buy anything, there is a mini market just next to big swimming pool. You can also easily rent a car at the reception at an attractive price. Food, rooms, friendly service - all at the level of 5 stars.
Those couple of days at this hotel were amazing, the restaurant was very tasty, people working there were very kind and helpful especially Mary We had really good moment in the pool, the room was very nice and big as shown on the picture. I’ll recommend it to my friends and family.
Because of the Corona situation everything was a little different on Rhodes, but some things can’t be put down to the Virus and its drawbacks. After booking our normal hotel we were told that they weren’t going to open this year as it would be to much of a hassle for owner and staff, which we can understand. We were told by the travel company that this hotel would be our replacement hotel at no extra costs, ok the rebooking and two days shorter were the extra price we paid, we normally fly in June but rebooked to September. On arriving at this (Local Cat. 5*) hotel we only told where our room was and not shown, ok to bad I hear you say but it was a 7-9 minute walk with cases and Co. as the hotel is spread out a bit. The staff were to 90% very friendly one or two were quite grumpy at times, because of the corona situation we were told of different restrictions, one the rooms would only be cleaned every 3 days!! We asked if at least the bin could be emptied daily but that was sporadic. On entering the restaurant we were tested to see if we had a fever or not, the way the food was served, was in compliance with the Covid rules the restaurant manager told us, it was served by the staff on a plate and give to us, the food was the whole time behind glass, ok because of the “situation” the range of food was limited and not what we know from Rhodes that was to be expected and quite good BUT that the food was cold or at best luce warm; this is not down to any type of restrictions or virus and that in a 5* hotel sorry this was not acceptable , we did tell them and the standard reply was, we’ll give it further. To this fact we ate only 3 time in 12 days in the hotel.…
