Don't know where to start...we made reservation for this hotel by German agency LMX. We came on 4.8.2022 and we hardly wait to go home...rooms are disaster, we sleep on bed 140 cm, kids sleep 10 cm from us on 100 old sofa (like they sleep on a stone)...no hot water, rooms smeels like dung....food? No words...pigs eats better food in Slovenia...workers? Poor them...if they eat this food and sleep on these beds...never again!
It was our first trip to Rhodos and we are very happy🥰 Hotel is perfect and food is really yummy. All the stuff are welcoming and smiling, they will give you all needed advice. The beach is very near to Hotel 300 m, it is clean and the sea is brilliant🏖❤️ I highly recommend the Afandou Beach hotel!!
A hotel where I found exactly what I was looking for, quiet, comfortable beds, clean pool, big and beautiful yard, close to the sea, a quiet beach with crystal clear water, very friendly staff who speak good English, good food different kinds for all tastes, clean and pleasant dining area, drinks as much as you need, Greek party evening ... In the hotel you will find information about the bus schedule (a bus stop is a few minutes away), car rental, souvenir shop and shop with items for the beach ... we did not miss anything during our stay in this hotel I recommend to those looking for a quiet vacation away from the hustle and bustle of very commercial resorts
Booked 5 nights at this hotel, very last minute. Arrived very late on Tuesday night to a excellent welcome from the night receptionist. The hotel is 2 minutes from a really nice beach with beautifully clear water & a very clean beach. The local town is very authentically greek & only ten minute walk away. All the hotel staff are very very friendly & were polite & accommodating at all points. There are 2 pools which are both immaculately clean & the outside seating is excellent If you need a break in a non tourist area this hotel is ideal & the staff are excellent Great rooms, value for money, great location Can’t fault it !!
Excellent hotel we visited for a 3rd time, located at walking distance from beautiful mostly sandy beach with pebbles (5-minute walk). Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice and clean rooms with A/C. Every day we had a great variety of food you could choose from. We appreciated 2 pools and a pool bar with all-inclusive offering we enjoyed. We had a great vacation here, and plan to return also next year.
In July we visited the hotel Afandou Beach. We were accommodated in a superior room. Our holiday met all our expectations. The hotel is located in a beautiful large garden in which there are also plenty of activities for children. Our room was renovated and offered comfort and convenience. We had a balcony overlooking the garden, which suits us perfectly for its orientation to the quiet side. We tasted a lot of traditional Greek dishes in the form of a rich buffet. The food was a complete experience. The beach was very clean with clear water. The whole hotel is very friendly with quality services that we can only recommend. We will be happy to return there again.
We spent a wonderful week in the hotel in July 2021. It is very close to the beach which has small pebbles, it is very quiet and not too crowded, we always had enough private space. We had some problems with the room, but on the second day we spoke with the nicest Manager, Tassos (hope we wrote his name correctly), and he immediately took action to solve it. The staff also helped us in car renting, which was in an affordable price. The food was plentiful, the staff paid attention to the hygiene. The environment of the hotel is very calm. Afandou is close to famous tourist spots and beaches. We could use the bar's services even after check-out. We recommend this hotel to everyone who would like to spend their holiday in a peaceful hotel with a really friendly vibe - and also who likes to eat. Greetings from Hungary, Adam and Timea (the very tall couple ;) )…
We have spent two weeks at Afandou Beach Hotel in August 2021. We were happy with the room - it was very quit (no noise from the neighboring rooms), has a balcony where you can read or hang your towels. The towels and sheets have been changed whenever we wanted it. The garbage is emptied daily. The food was also very good. The times for meals are planned for 2,5-3 hours so you are very flexible as to when you prefer to eat your meals. Everything is supplemented/added during the whole time so there is a great selection during the whole course of the meal. What we missed was fresh fish, but otherwise there were enough vegetables, fruits, cakes, meat, pasta, rice, potatoes to choose from. You can get your drinks at the bar by the swimming pool. The beach was very quit. It is nice and long so you can always find a place where you can almost enjoy your "private" beach. Super cool for swimming. Not many colorful fish in the water, but that was fine. The beach has small pebbles, in some places sand. Sun shades can be rented, but we had our little "tent" that we used for protection against the sun. Overall, we recommend this place for people and families who prefer a quiet venue for their vacation. We would certainly be back next year if we don't find another new place. Tips for the hotel: Maybe provide information about the meal times and where guests can get water already at check-in. A more thorough cleanup of rooms would be nice if guests are staying longer than one week.…
A beach resort that's 10 mins walk from the beach??????The smallest hotplate I've ever seen, lukewarm slop everyday, a breeding ground for bacteria. Rooms not much better, broken sofa bed bodged with bits of wood, a bath so small it just fits a child, toilet so close to sink you cant sit on it properly. Room only serviced once in a week despite hanging a "please service my room "tag on door. Had to ask reception for toilet rolls. Offering a free weeks holiday as an incentive for a good review, wouldnt stay here again even if it was free. Good bits...pool ok,evening barman was awesome...JUST AVOID..
The hotel is nice at first glance but when it comes to food or working a/c, things start to get a lot below 3*. Breakfasts here are very good with wide selection ranging from fruits and vegetables to ham, multiple choices of cheese, eggs, bacon, etc. Lunch and dinner though offers very little food choice - basically it is just overcooked spaghetti with napoletana or bolognese sauce (yes, they have this every day for dinner and lunch), and then there’s always a selection of like 2 other main meals. Dinner offers ice cream, at least. Also the a/c is really weak in the rooms and sometimes doesn’t feel like working at all. One night, there was an electricity problem in the hotel and the manager decided to keep the airco off for the entire night! Needless to say that he smartly kept the lights on (at night when you barely need them) and it was over 30 C! Lastly, I have to also share my least appreciated experience with this hotel; the day I was leaving, I had a shuttle bus scheduled arrival at 20:15. The hotel kicked me out of my room at 11:00 and left me with no option but to stay at the lobby (with no airco again), because I couldn’t even go to the sea due to the fact that there weren’t any showers. I politely asked the hotel receptionist if it would be possible to stay in my room until my scheduled departure. I was told that in order to stay I would have to pay 52€!! I find that highly unprofessional and rude. I can’t seem to understand why the hotel management feels the need to bully their clients like this. Furthermore, the beach, which is about 500 m from the hotel, sucks. It isn’t sandy, so it is a pain to get in and out. In order to enjoy your vacation the way you want, you have to rent a car or a moto and travel kilometers away to get to a sandy beach. Overall, you can definitely find a better accommodation for the money, but the island is beautiful. I definitely recommend visiting Rhodes, just pick a different hotel.…
