Have fun - recover - enjoy good food..if these are your expectations for your holidays you will be well in line with many of our regular guests. None of your wishes will be left open. As we are only a few meters away from the entrance of the Europa-Park, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the village and recover at the sight of the idyllic Elzriver which is directly situated next to our beer garden.

A pros/cons review Pros: Great location: 5-minute walk to Europa Park. Lots of places to eat around the area and a local Backerei for coffee in the morning Breakfast: Breakfast was delicious & filling. Hosts: Very pleasant hosts. Check-in & Room: Easy check-in . The key is in a locked box. Clean, nice size room for a good price. Con: Wifi: The wifi reception was poor in the evening. During the morning the signal was fine. Wasn’t too big a deal b/c we spent the majority of our time outside. Overall rating: We’re planning on going back to Europa Park during the Christmas season, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

If you decide to visit Europa-Park, this is a great choice of hotel. Its not fancy, but it is clean and affordable. It is 10 min walk to the front gate of Europa-Park and has free parking out the front. They let me keep the car there after check out so I was able to return after our last day in the park and get the car. The restaurant blow the hotel is one of the top rated restaurants in the area and we decided to have dinner there one night. The food is great and affordable, I would recommend eating there, though the food did take quite a while to come out, we were not in any rush and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast was great as well. The table was filled with breads, cheeses, meats, eggs, coffee, juice, fruit salad, spreads, etc. But for the breakfast and dinner, Gasthof Altes Rathaus did not have any gluten free alternatives other than than the schnitzel I had was made gluten free which was great. I was staying with my children and we had a room with a double bed and bunk beds, it was very clean and had everything in it we needed. I would highly recommend Gasthof Altes Rathaus for your visit to Europa-Park and not staying in expensive resort hotels that are a nightmare to deal with.

Superb hotel, great staff who made an excellent job of saving us from a dreadful place down the road. We needed three nights, they gave us a room for one night, and for the remaining two nights we had a luxurious apartment all at the price of a single room including a great breakfast. The Chef /owner is a brilliant cook. Best steak ever. Outdoor restaurant overlooking the river

Family room for 2 adults and 2 kids (double bed and bunk beds). Staff friendly and helpful. Room was cosy but ideal for a two night stay for a visit Europa park. Restaurant served good food in the evening in a nice quiet setting by the river. Free parking outside the hotel. Entrance to Europa Park is only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

We visited this hotel in Mid August - The Hotel is a few minutes walk from Europa Parc with the added benefit of free parking. The welcome was very good and all of the staff were very pleasant throughout our 2 days stay. The continental breakfast in the morning filled us up enough to keep us going until mid afternoon in the theme park. The family room on the top floor had separate sleeping areas (bunk beds for the kids) The shower was good and hot and we found it to be very clean. The beer garden to the rear was lovely and although we didn't actually eat there, the food looked really nice with good portions. We would definitely stay here again

My wife and I decided to visit Europa Park on the one weekend. Rust is known for 2 things: 1. Europa Park 2. More hotels / guest houses per square meter than one can count. Choosing the right one can be difficult. Our choice was this lovely hotel, the price was decent, rooms were super clean and the location was the biggest draw! Just 4 min walk from the park, enter a side gate and can miss the mass entry of people when parking gates open. Only negative was the small breakfast range, besides this it was a lovely place to stay.

This Hotel is located near Europapark and has a reasonable price and good food. I was there with my family and friends and we could not complain at all. People are friendly, the Installations are old but in good conditions, the rooms are clean.

This is a small hotel laid back from the main street. It took us a few minutes to find it but well worth the effort. We had a family room which was on the top floor. It was split into two sleeping areas one for the children with a set of bunks and a double for my wife and I. This let us read in bed without disturbing the children. The room was very clean and had an efficient air conditioning system. The breakfast was a buffet with a very helpful lady getting coffee and keeping the buffet well stocked. The food was very good and enjoyed by all. We ate here the one night, we were fortunate enough to be able to sit outside at Easter and enjoy a tasty albeit simple evening meal. The beer was also very good! We really enjoyed the hotel which is a nice contrast to the noise and crowds of the park.

I booked two nights for halloween through booking.com (30 / 31 October ). In my reservation I indicated I was going to arrive late after 10 Pm as I was driving with my family from Italy after work. When I got in Rust and I found the Hotel but everything was closed, no one there, no ring and no one answering the phone of the hotel ( I could even ear te phone ringing inside the hotel ) After half an hour of trials I gave up and started to look for a room in Rust with mywirlpool and my 7 year old daughters, all hotels were fully booked and at the end I found only a suite at hotel Colosseo for 1270 euros for two nights. I do not know where the issue came from, I leave travellers to judge. I travel a lot for leasure and work and this has been by far the worst surprise I ever had, no respect for the customer considering both booking.com and the hotel had my email and mobile phone to contact me if needed. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel, our room was on the top floor with velux roof windows, these were rather awkward as to open and close window and blind you had to stand on the bed with long pole in hand to close/open! Very clean, comfortable beds, shower was good too. Wifi was hopeless, kept cutting out, very annoying! Free parking, 5 min walk to Europa Park which was fantastic! Food in restaurant was lovely, we ate there both evenings, good value, freshly prepared food. Breakfast was also very good, scrambled eggs, soft boiled eggs, croissants, breads, cheese cold meats, yogurts etc. lovely hotel, would recommend to anyone if wifi not needed!
