The spot is beautiful, but the reception is the opposite. Upon arrival after a three hours trip we were told that the hotel was not holding a reservation and that the hotel was fully booked despite sending a booking confirmation… - The front desk was very rude - We’ve even been shouted at… - The check-in process was shambolic -...

We where a bit worried that Dollenberg would be a bit old fashioned. It s not. Very friendly personal service. Great food and the best spa. We stayed four days in a suite with valley view (valley view is recommended). We have been mountainbiking. Very quiet and serene trips with some tough climbs. A rewarding spa welcomes you afterwards. Food...

The hotel has for many years served as a retreat deep within the Black Forest for German businessmen, politicians and professionals. The ambient is classic in styling and the rooms are massive and comfortable. The service is good although some of the staff struggled to communicate in English and the facilities are fine. The restaurant is beautifully set on a...

We combined our dinner at the in-house gourmet restaurant Le Pavillon with a stay at the hotel. The location, service and infrastructure are generally all are top quality. The rooms hovever could do with an update, at least ours felt quite 'lived-in', beyond the cozy Schwarzwald charme with some wear on carpets and furniture. We wanted to have a drink...

We stayed here before a long business trip in Germany and it was as beautiful as the pictures convey. It is a luxury hotel, with wonderful attention to detail from the gorgeous flowers in the entry hall to the minute woodworking details in the rooms. We wandered the property astounded at the manicured gardens and walking paths, we swam in...

If you ever intend to visit the Dollenberg, then please ask for room 432. Simply one of the most beautiful i ever stayed in: large, luxurious, lavlishly decorated and on top of that .... with sublime views of both the valley and the new outdoor pool! Brilliant food to @ Le Pavillon, served by very nice staff. It hardly gets...

Great mountain location, great views all around, good service from arrival to departure, good food, nice if somewhat old fashioned rooms. A great place to stay Fall/Winter/Spring but when it's hot? Come on guys, when it's 30+ deg and you don't have AC you should at least have fans available in the rooms.

We were lucky to coincidentally arrive on the day when once a year the hotel invites its guests and the local community to a great party and very unique traditional celebration called Zapfenstreich - what an experience! The entire team was very hearty and welcoming throughout our entire stay. Martin is a brilliant chef -- not only at the multi-medalled...

This hotel is lovely. Set on a terraced hillside in beautiful landscaping with a large pool overlooking the Schwarzwald. The food in the Pavilion restaurant lived up to its star ratings, and the breakfast didn't disappoint either with a huge variety. Sadly we didn't have time to try the spa out, but will definitely return.

The place and The surroundings are wonderful. In The very heart of The black forest. The style is a real curious mix of marble , gold.and wood. Not The one I personally like most.. the rooms are wide and comfortable. The restaurant (not The starred one) we've tried was nice but The food average. IT seems that The place need some...
