We were on a cycling tour and this was the preferred property booked for us. The hotel is absolutely fine, but our room was literally tiny and it's for this reason I've only rated three stars. We had to put a chair in the wardrobe to have room to open two touring-size suitcases, so it wasn't ideal for our three... More

I couldn't find a room anywhere up the hill so tried this one at the bottom of the hill in St.Emillion .the room was small, but clean and comfortable. the breakfast was decent, with plenty to eat. St. Emillion is an expensive place to stay, so it was reasonable. I was very upset to learn that on my last day... More

Visited st emillion had a great lunch and decided to stay had a choice of 3 places. There was secure off road parking and not expensive. A little pool clean and freash. Delightful location. Service was great . Relaxed and helpful. Evening meal was better than the previous poor reviews. Cheese dish was goats cheese wrapped in a very thin... More

We biked from Pauillac in the hottest temperatures in sixty years so anything with air conditioning would have been heaven. We got the air conditioning in the room with the extra bonus of a nice pool next to the original city walls. The room and bed were comfortable and clean with a nice view of the courtyard. The city is... More

I booked a stay in this hotel and then read the reviews and very nearly changed my mind due to some of the negative comments. I am so glad I didn't. I don't know why people moan so much! Rooms are small yes but perfectly adequate and extremely clean. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. It felt very relaxed.... More

Ok, I´m not really a fan of writing terrible reviews because everyone has an off day but seriously, when you see the photo of the cheese platter you will totally understand. Firstly, I will say that the man working behind the bar looked to be alone and although the place wasn´t overly busy, I´m sure he had a full workload... More

The best thing about this hotel is its location at the entrance to this beautiful hilltop town. This is a family owned hotel. The hotel rooms are a bit dated and small, but the place is comfortable, offers a reasonable breakfast and has an oudoor swimming pool within a wallwd garden. Parking is always at a premium at St Emilion,... More

This hotel is ok but nothing particularly special. It's one very important redeeming factor is that it has its own garage for parking. Parking in St Emilion is a bit of a nightmare. We found it strange that the restaurant was closed on a Wednesday and Thursday night in July which made the hotel appear very quiet. Our room was... More

We stayed two nights as part of a walking tour. We were pleased with the welcoming service, the staff going out of their way to give us information. The location is amazing. Clean, nice pool but average breakfast (only cold).

We only stayed for 1 night, but enjoyed our stay. Check-in was quick and efficient, the lady at reception spoke perfect English and hotel has safe parking right across the road. Our room (37) was a bit small, but had the bonus of a balcony overlooking the courtyard and swimming pool. The bathroom was spacious enough and even had a... More
