This was a 5 week break from the Florida heat and ahead of a hurricane. The location was perfect in that it was between two sons and close to several of the Zerox friends my husband used to work with. This location was within a mile of a Walmart, Wagman's and Dollar Tree. Beautiful parks to walk around and, of course, Lake Ontario. We also drove to Greece where we got to the park and walked along the Erie Canal. Just a beautiful area to vacation in. Our unit couldn't have been any better. It was very clean, nice dishes, furniture, TV and wi-fi and fairly new linens. It couldn't have been any better unless it was our own home. Plus, the bed was very comfortable. The laundry area was clean and easy to use and the staff were really great to work with. Debbie was very helpful with the whole process including where to get a pedicure. Loved it and reserved again for next September.

From our first phone call with the general manager, Debbie Alaimo through this writing, we have been greeted with open arms and have been graciously welcomed! The apartment/suite is fully furnished, including dishes, flatware, coffee pot, iron, ironing board, kitchen knives and tools, linens and pots and pans. Also, queen-size very comfortable bed, with dresser and full closet; living room with couch, comfy chair, computer desk, WiFi, TV with Dish. Kitchen table and chairs. We were able to put all of our personal belongings in storage and don't have to think about moving twice! Debra has responded to all of our needs in a friendly, quick and efficient manner. We highly recommend this place.

When needed temporary fully furnished housing for a couple of months I search the entire Rochester area. Most places were either so expensive that it was not sustainable or not nice enough to call home...but then someone recommended Avalon Suites. They were very reasonable with rates, worked with me on price for an extended stay, were flexible on move in and move out dates and I felt very lucky to have found them. I worked with directly with the General Manager, Debbie Alaimo, and could not be more pleased. Debbie was responsive, attentive to my needs and I really felt like she had my best interests at the top of her priority list. This is a rare find when dealing with short term leases. I'm really thankful to her for making it such a great experience. The apartment was great, fully furnished, comfortable bed, lightning fast wifi, fully ready to move in with everything you need in kitchen and bathroom. Thank you Avalon Suites and more importantly...THANK YOU DEBBIE!!!

My stay at Avalon Suites was a very good experience. I found Debbie Alaimo the General Manager of Avalon Suites to be very professional, very friendly, accommodating and kind (as was Greg in the maintenance dept.). The apartments are completely furnished (full kitchen with all the necessary dishes and utensils for cooking), things were clean, comfortable, safe and well maintained; overall the place is very well managed. I have no complaints of any kind, it was a very good experience. Dan F.

We love staying here, also with all furniture include for us just move to Webster was the best option, an apartment is so much more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The kitchens are well stocked with kitchenware, you don't need buy anything, just groceries and personal items . All rooms are sparkling clean. The bedroom blanket was of high quality, almost a down feel. Well stocked linen closet with plenty of towels. Wifi is good but not for Netflix nice tv with cable and laundry facilities on site. I love the walking trails you have a park next to it and also a bus stop across the street. Staff always available.

We love staying here on our annual trip to Rochester. Staying in an apartment is so much more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The kitchens are well stocked with kitchenware (but bring your own salt and pepper). All rooms are sparkling clean. The bedroom blanket was of high quality, almost a down feel. Well stocked linen closet with plenty of towels. Wifi, nice tv with cable and laundry facilities on site. I love the walking trails right next door which lead to an extraordinary view of Irondequoit Bay. Nice staff who always welcome us each year.

We were looking for an extended stay type hotel since we would be staying more than a week and were traveling with son and his wife. I had seen the reviews on some of the brand name hotels that weren't all that good. Came across the Avalon Suites and reviews and photos looked great but was afraid that when we got there it wasn't going to be as stated. I can honestly tell you this was better than expected. Yes the furniture is dated but who cares it's comfy and clean. I wasn't afraid to walk on the carpet barefoot because it smelled and looked clean. I have stayed at 5 star hotels were each one had an distinctive smell, the suite here did not you could literally smell the cleanliness. The area is not noisy and relaxing. The kitchen was immaculate, the stove, the fridge and kitchenware were all clean and orderly. I didn't want to provide a review just so that next time I was in town I would know that it wasn't full and keep this as my secret to go hotel in Rochester. Kudos to the owners.

Stayed for 4 nights during very cold and snowy February for a nearby swimming championship. We usually stay at chain hotels, but this was a great location and significantly less expensive. These are NOT hotel/motel rooms. They are furnished apartments, and suitable for extended stays. You can even cook your own meals in the complete kitchen. We were a bit wary when we first saw the place and had to go around to the back of the complex and into the basement, where the office is next to the laundry. Our room was on the "Garden Level" which is a daylighted basement. We got a little more wary when we headed down the stairs and found our room. The door was partially covered by the adjacent laundry room door. But it was a steel door with a steel frame with deadbolt and turn key lock as well. We were greeted by a warm, comfortable and spacious apartment. The unit shows its age (probably built in the 70's by the look of the stamped steel bifold closet doors, many layered painted trim, and painted plywood cabinetry) but everything was in excellent working order and the apartment was very clean. There was no hint of staleness or odd odors that we might have expected after decending into the basement. Despite being a daylight basement apartment, there is lots of light and the windows look out through the landscaping around the base of the building, and there are windows in the living/dining and bedroom areas. The sofa was a bit overstuffed and hard to climb into, but there is a real living room with end tables, coffee table, desk and lots of walking around room. The lighting was provided by table lamps that provided ample light at night. There is a nice LCD TV with USB and HDMI inputs, as well as 68 channels of Time-Warner Cable service. The wifi worked well. There is a full sized refrigerator and range in the kitchen, as well as a microwave. There are plenty of dishes, utensils, and the office has a "Library" of cookware that you can borrow if there is something you need that isn't already in the cabinets. There are no condiments, but a new scrubbie and dish soap are provided. The bathroom was big enough for my wife and I to both be in there at the same time. Again, it's a bit aged, but everything was very clean and in perfect working order. Plenty of hot water, and a nice clean shower curtain. But, this is a furnished apartment, not a hotel/motel so there was no shampoo. There were bars of soap and plenty of towels, but if you want freshly laundered towels and bedding every day, you'll have to do it yourself in the laundry next door. BTW, we never heard any noise from the laundry, although the person in the upstairs unit did have an odd habit of waking up to the Carpenters played at a very loud volume. It didn't last more than a few minutes, but odd, nonetheless. The bedroom was very spacious as well. There was a comforter and pillows with shams on the bed, nice clean and good quality sheets and a blanket underneath, and OK pillows. The mattress was perhaps a bit soft for our tastes, but didn't squeak or behave strangely at all. The furniture was like what my father-in-law had in his house built in the early 60's. Funky, but entirely serviceable. It took us the first night to convince ourselves we were going to do OK, and the place is huge compared with a Quality Inn or Holiday Inn Express. Over the next 3 days, the place became home and we really felt like it was our home away from home. In the recent past, we have stayed at Quality Inn's that were terrible disappointments, so this was a very pleasant surprise for us. We would not hesitate to stay here if we ever find ourselves in the Rochester/Webster area again and would recommend it to our family and friends for it is a great value, and very comfortable, once you get over the 70's look and feel.
