Natureperu.com rates the Tambopata Nature reserve as one of the most pristine areas of Amazon Jungle. This lodge is more than 2 hours by boat from the nearest road access. It is focussed in every way on the Eco label. The simple buildings have no electricity, except in the evenings. The water is a scarce resource, which we were delighted... More

Tambopata Ecolodge is a very well-run lodge with nice amenities. I researched almost every single Amazon lodge near Puerto Maldonado and read tons of reviews before picking this one. The main differences will come down to how fancy the accommodations are (electricity, hot water availability etc). Tambopata Ecolodge (TE) is a midrange option I think. It iis not too far... More

Two men from Italy, 35 and 40, go on holiday together. They book a double room for three nights at the Tambopata Eco Lodge, which includes airport pickup and daily excursions. At the airport everything goes smoothly: their guide meets them and takes them to the office to prepare for their boat trip to reach the lodge. After a little... More

Beautiful jungle setting. The rooms are spacious and clean with big windows and a very open feel. Hammocks on the porch were a perfect place to read a book during our siesta time. We got bumped up to a suite because they didn't have our original dates available - suite was great and very private. Food is very fresh and... More

2 hours boat ride up river from Inferno with GAdventures. Nice lodges although if there's no Sun there's no hot water. Also it's two cabins per hut so you can hear Everything in the other room. The food was amazing every meal and juices freshly made. Birds hang around in the mornings and guides are helpful with pointing out wildlife... More

Accommodation was way above our expectations. Clean rooms and warm showers. The lack of electricity didn't bother us. Elvis was our jungle guide, really friendly and knowledgeable guy who introduced us to the jungle perfectly. The food was good too and the bar was well stocked considering where we were. We would recommend a visit!

We stayed here for 2 nights after hiking the inca trail with G Adventures. It was a nice relaxing change of pace after several busy days before. The Eco lodge is very nice, the bungalow are spacious, and the bathroom/shower was the nicest we had had in Peru. The room was very clean, with lots of storage, certainly more then... More

Simply a great experience staying in the Peruvian Amazon with amazing guides who made sure we had a great time experiencing the amazing wildlife. The guide (Rafael) made the trip for me! Although an there was trekking and trips on boats, there was relaxation time and opportunity to do your own thing (or get to have a few drinks with... More

The lodges has no comfort at all. Either very hot, or very cold. No electricity, no hot water, no fans and so on. Nothing but mosqito net to prevent you from either cold wind or very hot weather. We only saw a few of the animals, that we expected, and from a far distance. We were suggested to walk 18... More

Julio Cesar was an excellent guide! He was very patient with my nine year old son! I wasn't expecting hot water, so that was a great surprise. The food was incredible and everyone on staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, and the whole experience was a very positive one!
