These accommodations are clean, attractive and with exceptional views of the jungle. The current staff, Miguel and Lee, are helpful and friendly. On my first night, when I went up to ask for some information about the town, they invited me to stay for dinner with them and their friends from Chile. The next day we enjoyed some beers in town together. There are some steep steps, so people with mobility issues should look elsewhere. Check out my Photos.
The view from the breakfast area is great as the pictures indicate. The served breakfast was well prepared, copious and rich in exotic fruits and juices. The pousada is located on a steep hill. From street level we had to climb 72 high steps to get to our room and another 20 to get to the breakfast platform. Werner's attitude towards his guests' comfort was rather nonchalant. Asked about the mosquito situation, his response was that they did not bite him (there were plenty in the room and had to use the net over the bed to be able to sleep). Water was dripping from the ceiling after heavy rain one night: he said there was nothing he could do as he needed to repair the roof but not to worry: it did not rain very often anyway! The bed consisted of a two inch hard foam mattress on a solid plank and was totally uncomfortable. The east and south walls of the room consisted of poorly fitted glass windows and doors with ill-fitting tacky red curtains to pull to get privacy: of course plenty of insects found their way in, and also from the bathroom that was left open to the environment in the ceiling corners. There were plenty of ants and tiny spiders in the room.…
During a 6 week trip to North East Brazil, Werner's pousada ranked at the top of the places I stayed, and makes the ideal base on this beautiful island. The accommodation has the perfect location and setting - close to the port, the centre and the beaches but also very tranquil and secluded with beautiful natural surroundings. The pousada is really lovely - the cabins are charming, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Each has an individual balcony with hammock, table and deck chairs. There is a wonderful deck with breathtaking view for breakfast and watching the sunset. The hosts help to make this a great place: Werner and Lilen were extremely helpful, friendly, warm and professional. Breakfast was also excellent, with home made cakes, jams, juices etc. Overall the ideal place to relax and disconnect, and I hope to be able to visit again soon! Thank you Werner and Lilen for a great stay.…

I was staying for one week on january in the double room apt. Excellent located in Morro de SP in a quiet place, few blocks from the beach and with an excellent views from the balcony! Clean and organized. Breakfast is very complete and served with fresh and homemade products, from the terrace with a paradise sight of one of the morro's bay. The personnel and Werner, the owner, are very kind and helpful all the time. I completely suggest this place to stay in Morro.
