A couple of weeks ago I had without a shadow of doubt, the worst experience I have ever had at any accommodation. First of, I was a bit disappointed with the fact that the spa was out of commission due to a fire that had set it ablaze a couple weeks prior to our arrival. On top of that, a... More

We often go to the Dead Sea for a short weekend as it is "just around the corner" from Jerusalem. I the last 5 years, I have been at, at least, 10 of the hotels from 5*s to 2*s. but I must say, this was the best stay ever. Even though the hotel had had a fire less than 2... More

We had a great visit at Hod Hamidbar. The hotel is right on the Dead Sea, with shaded paths that lead there and a shaded area in the sea itself. Although you pass by construction debris to get there, we weren't bothered. We also spent afternoons by the pool, which gets a little crowded. The beach towels are thin and... More

Hotel under major construction. The rooms on our floor were demolished with the debris flying everywhere. Room was filthy and outdated. We endured constant drilling and hammering into the wall of our room due to construction. Morning and evening. The crane was stationed outside of our window. We couldn’t stay inside the room for more than ½ hour due to... More

***tourists pay more**** Made a reservation for a price that included VAT (value added tax) in my mother's name. When we arrived we presented my mother's passport and visa. Tourists are exempt from paying VAT for hotel stays. Instead of deducting the 17% VAT (which anyways is not supposed to go to the hotel) the manager simply printed up a... More

We needed a room at the Dead Sea for only one night and hotels in the area required a two night minimum. So despite knowing that the hotel was undergoing construction we went there because they would accept a single night reservation. The construction is everywhere. There is no escaping it. The noise starts early and finishes very late. Workmen,... More

Wonderful hotel to experience the Dead Sea. Unfortunately, they were busy with renovations as well as rebuilding due to a recent fire which meant the Spa was not available. Loved the private entrance to the beach and swimming/floating on the Dead Sea was the highlight. Lovely dinner with the best chocolate cake ever for dessert.

The staff went out of their way to help us feel welcome and comfortable. There were some renovations going on however this didn't impact our stay. Our room was lovely, pool was great and the food was wonderful. Comfy bed, close to the beach and a small drive to Masada. Would recommend and return there again.

They were doing some renovation, but the hotel is very comfortable, very close to the beach, decent pool. Food is not the most exciting, but all in all good quality. Service was very welcoming. And...we got a great deal. I would definitely go back again.
