My wife and I stayed one night at this hotel. Their outdoor facilities were great. Large swimming pool area, lots of shaded outdoor chairs along the beach, and of course the dead sea. They had great scenic views. The rooms are average. We had no complaints but had nothing to rave about either. One thing we disliked was the parking... More

We recently returned from Israel during which time we spent four days in Herods Dead Sea. It was an amazing experience on that we highly recommend. I'll just highlight some points. From the moment you enter the beautiful lobby you are warmly welcomed by Marina, Nataly, Daniel et al where after an efficient and swift check in you are shown... More

Very convenient beach access, shade even in the water, relaxing, nice rooms, fun experience for entire family , highly recommended to make the effort and wake up for sunrise, in July the heat is brutal, early mornings are still bearable. Mud tip - Either you buy mud bags at the spa or wait for spa to deliver (twice a week)... More

One of the best hotels in the Dead Sea area....if not the best. Not a new hotel, but perfectly kept. Excellent food, good service, amasing view from the rooms...the beach is easy to access... Strongly recommend!

First: definitely worth it. Calm, relaxing, great spa. Right on the beach, which is one of the major advantages. You walk right out on to the beach and it's great. The hotel like all at the Dead Sea is not 5 star, it's more of a 3.5 star by Israeli standards. Rooms are ok, comfortable. Food is good with a... More

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights in late June during our first trip to the Dead Sea and nearby Masada (20min drive), based on Trip Advisor reviews that made it a clear choice. Our stay was wonderful (lodging and food). We didn't use the spa; it just wasn't alluring enough given the legendary health properties of the Sea... More

By my opinion it is the best hotel at the Dead Sea region. It locates right at the sea shore and has very private beach area with mud available occasionally. The hotel has great entertainment, nice rooms, relaxing spa, great designed outdoor pool area, very inviting VIP parlour with very good buffet, yoga classes at the beach and in the... More

Stayed for just one night (too short...) with friends. Check-in was a breeze. Enjoyed the free bikes stationed in front of the hotel. Breakfast was great, so were the pools. And of course the Dead Sea itself. We had a great time there.

None of the hotels at the Dead Sea are exquisite but Herod's comes closer than the others. The outstanding parts are the pool (especially with the well positioned sun covering!), easy access to the Dead Sea, and the food at the buffet. The downside is the hotel itself with paper thin walls and semi-working air conditioning. But, the rooms are... More

Beautiful place with great food. I would go there again. My only regret is we stayed for just one night. The pools were great and the fact that the Hotel was on the beach was a plus. There was entertainment in the lobby, a beach shop, a snack bar by the pool, everything.
