Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Daniel Hotel as we needed to be in the area for a bar mitzvah at Masada the following morning. We reserved two rooms for a family of 5 and this was adequate for my family. My wife enjoyed the spa and and all the different salt water pools. The main negative to this hotel is the breakfast. It is an absolute zoo. We were directed to a table got up to use the buffet and then found someone else sitting at our table. At the buffet after taking food I had to check that all my fingers were still there as I was afraid that they may be on the plate of one of other pushy guests loading their plates with whatever they can find. The quality of the breakfast was also not up to the standard as the other breakfasts that we had in Israel. Compared to other hotels in Israel it seemed that this hotel catered more to Russians and Arabs. Overall hotel met its needs but really did not enjoy the breakfast experience.

we stayed for 3 days with our two small children and had a great time. room was tidy, the staff was very friendly and attentive. the buffet food was excellent. the pool was very clean and despite there being many guests, still didn't feel overcrowded.
the hotel was perfect for our kids as there were many activities planned for children - games by the pool, the kids club room upstairs, musical plays in the evening and more. there was lots to keep them busy and they had a great time.
my only critique would be to improve the cleanliness of some of the bedding, as we found hairs that did not belong to us on one of the blankets.
an overall great experience at "enjoy".

We had a nice room with a small balcony overlooking the pool (not all rooms have a balcony, so good to ask for one). They had an in-room gift of "Dr Mud" mud packs to use either at the beach or in the bathroom. The hotel is right across the road from the beach and not far from a little shopping mall. Those in our group who used the spa felt the services were good and fairly priced. (The system for getting beach towels is a little complicated.). The food was fantastic... wonderful choices, inventive deserts, very fresh.

The hotel itself is very modern but it is the little things that detract from the overall experience. ie: no bathrobes in an apparently hastily made up room. Numerous calls to the desk before finally getting some. No mat for the bathtub. Slipped, fell and have black and blues. Response at desk, you should have called (in other words your fault you fell not ours).
There are things here require repair or cleaning that are just ignored: bathroom fixtures loose, light switches broken, carpets stained, furniture wobbly and the list goes on. The pool and patio area are littered with used plastic cups, tissues and other debris.
I understand the language in Israel is Hebrew but this is a tourist area that relies on tourist money yet very few of the staff speak,or admit to speaking english (or possibly other languages)and those who do can be rude.
For non-Hebrew speaking guests the dining room can be a nightmare. Strange foods that are identified only, if at all, in Hebrew. Would it really add to cost if the tags included different languages?
Dinner and breakfast are chaos. Some of the guests appear to be terrified that they will not get fed. Grabbing whatever they can, touching food with bare, possibly unwashed hands and after handling it, PUTTING IT BACK! Finally after all that, leaving platefuls of uneaten food on the table.

First, here are the pro’s. Room was really nice with a beautiful view of the Dead Sea and pool area. The room was clean and modern and bed was comfortable enough. Pretty pool area and short walk to restaurants, shopping and most importantly the Dead Sea. Had live music in the evening.
Con’s- Staff were not nice at all. Barely spoke to you and seemed genuinely irritated that you asked questions or needed something. Never explained their towel policy (each room card is loaded one towel but we didn’t figure that our until we were leaving. Indoor pool was reserved only for adults which stinks for families (but I do understand that), breakfast was huge but wasn’t great compared to all other hotels we were at. Our car got sprayed with reclaimed water that left a horrible smell and a grime on our rental car that we could not get off. Others complained about that as well
Overall, clean/modern rooms and great location. If a one night stay to experience the Dead Sea it works better than most in the area for the price. Just don’t expect any service whatsoever and venture offsite to eat.

Poor service Unprofessional waiters. Medium level food. Rooms at the level of cleanliness, lack of towels in the rooms. Evening service is especially bad for groups that come. A group that requested a room for group activities was required to pay 700 NIS. Nor did it allow group seating on the porch. There are no stores specifically for a group bus that is supposed to drop off and pick up the group.

We visited the Daniel hotel predominantly to enjoy the Dead Sea. When we walked to the beach there was no attendant there. There were no chairs or seating available when the temperature was at least 95°F. We had to wait about 45 minutes in the hot sun until somebody abandoned their chairs. This is completely unacceptable for hotel the charge is $330 per night. We complain to the hotel manager she did not care in the leashed and did not offer any remedial action. We visited this hotel prior to the pandemic and the level of service was much better. Prior to the pandemic a private lounge was available to visitors as they arrived at the hotel. This has been canceled.

This hotel had great reviews and that is why we selected it. We were very disappointed. First of all, the staff could barely speak English throughout the hotel. The room was adequate but needed updating. The breakfast was of poorer quality although the quantity was vast. We had a couples treatment. However, the indoor pool was next to the spa and we could hear all of the pool activities throughout out treatment even though the staff had a small CD player playing. It was not relaxing at all. We will not stay at this hotel again.

Very disappointing! In this hotel they change their rules whenever they want without letting anyone know. Upon arrival in the hotel we got a flyer from the front desk saying the time frame of the facilities to be open . Yesterday I came to the pool just to find out that it's closed. Vent to the front desk and was told that they decided to close it because they think no one will use it. What??? No signs, no advertising of the changes? It took me about half an hour to convince them to open the pool.
Today is worst. Came to the spa and in a second I stepped in, some orthodox woman was jumping and screaming at me saying that at this time the spa is for women only. No one of the personal of the hotel was present at this time (I'm wandering if this is legal at all to open facilities of this kind without lifeguard or someone in charge. I will find out with the town today), so I vent to the front desk again and the clerk told me that YESTERDAY they had a request from some ortodox guests to separate men and women and they decided to do so with respect to religion. Again, no advertising or written signs! What are you guys going to do next? You will require us to eat separately? Sleep separately? With all respect to all religions, I have a right to know where I'm going before I book my hotel. If this hotel become a orthodox place, then you guys should clearly advertise it everywhere including your website.
We came here with mixed family group and now we can't spend our time together? What a disappointment!
I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone, unless you like unexpected things on your vacation.

With all the minuses and dissapoints, you mentioned, that you had a nice time in the hotel and you and your family were satisfied of your stay with us. Also was mentioned, that your objective review of the hotel could get 3 points and not 1 you gave. When we arrived at 15:00 our room was not available so we had to stay in the lobby until the room was ready at 21:00 . The food is like the hospital food and the smell is very bad. Rooms are disaster and terrible and not clean enough. I don't recommand at all.
